I wish I could say that that did it, but it didn't, unfortunately.
The modded file is the empires2_x1_p1.dat, which MPS doesn't seem to use at all. It only copies .drs files, which leads me to believe that it either fetches the number of frames directly from those files (unlikely), has them hard-coded somewhere in the program (again, unlikely), or doesn't use the empires2_x1_p1.dat file at all (plausible, since it's the 1.0c patch file - and I'm not sure if MPS even cares about that).
I'll mess with the original empires2_x1.dat file some, and see if that does it, but I'm completely stumped otherwise. SLPCNVT is giving me more errors than I care to recount when I try to compile more than ten frames (even though the included help files say it supports up to 300), so I think I'll just ritually burn that tool and never look at it again.
Do you have any other advice? Thanks in advance.
Shout to our resident wizard coders: Can any of you develop a tool that does all this in the blink of an eye? Or would that be too complicated?
