I want to modify the starting stuff players get when they begin the game. Instead of a town center, a scout/eagle warrior, and villagers, I want it to be something else. How do I change that?
The userpatch MEGARANDOM RM does that, and Nomad only gives you villagers. This is what I want, to modify what players get.
No, I'm not going to put a building or a unit somewhere on the map. I don't want to disable the feature, I want to modify the starting stuff. Anyone knows how?

I want to use it for a scenario, not a RM.

I don't want to place any objects. I want players to get randomly place on map ANYWHERE, but instead with town center and villagers, I want the units I want.

Ok, so I found a way. I used AGE and pretty much copy and pasted the unit I want over the villager IDs. Also change the number of starting villagers under civilizations. Can use trigger to remove Town Center at beginning. So that's all worked out, except ONE problem. When I test Chinese civ, I got override and get 6 of the units... which originally is 6 villagers. There was no problem with Mayan, so which is confusing me. I don't want the extra units... anyway to get rid of them?

You have to change the starting bonuses for the Chinese civ in AGE. You can do that by looking through the technologies for the Chinese Civ. Bonus (or something like that). One of the effects in it will be a bonus starting villagers effect. Deleting that should solve your problem.
A note on replacing the villagers. It should work, as long as you are ok with not getting any villagers ever...
