I can't load empires2_x2_p1.dat (version 61321), program unexpectedly close .
But load old version empires2_x2_p1.dat is OK.
My VC++ is update to lastest version.
What should I do ?

Hi, I am having trouble seeing sprites with this tool for Aoe2 DE.
In the Sprites window I just see a message like "No sprite" or "No sprites associated with.." followed by the file name no matter what I select.
Do you know what I can do to fix this? I saw another comment having a similar issue but I can't find the answer. Would appreciate any help!

I want to update one of my old mod to 73855.
It was from 41855.
The only file modified was empires2_x2_p1.dat
But I can't find a way to open it with Advanced Genie Editor...it always crashes.
I still have an old version but it still crashes if I try to open the file with it. Maybe because the paths are from the recent aoe2:de.
Any way to open it?

Hello developers, super thank to the tool. I'm a AOE2 modder and one thing I really need is to keep the MOD updated with the official updates, as both are changing the data files. Is there a way to convert the dat file into a text file (json for example) so that we can use diff and version control tools to merge the changes? Thank you!

Hi Tapsa, I found that there are still two attributes that not listed in filter select: Backstab Bonus, and Flank Bonus. Due to their usage in DE, it is necessary to add them to filter.

Try changing resource 36, that's how the techs do it to increase farm resources. It can be done in AGE with a technology or with a trigger in a scenario
