As you know animals killed by villagers and trees cut by villagers stay with the last frame of the dying graphics until all resources are collected. Can I do something similar to all units(perhaps by assigning some resource value) so that their last frame of dying graphics stay after being killed by any unit. Is it possible?
It can be a great workaround to get rid of decay graphics for all units so that they fit well with newer graphics introduced to game.... Any ideas...?

I just checked with -1 it did nothing. :/
Actually my intention is to make all units use the last graphics of dn so that I can introduce any new unit graphics without worrying about sn slp...
Also I don't see any unit with resource decay value -1.

Good point, it may block off areas. It may add slight realism but may affect gamebalance by affecting pathfinding. I would like to playtest how much is the impact. Though I am also concerned by the fact that it may have a serious impact on large scale battles...
We can also make the bodies vanish with time by making the resource assigned to the body to deplete over time like meat on hunted animals. If the time is assigned correctly the idea might work.

I just checked the dat file, looks like every decay unit is calling it self as next decay unit after it decays out also resource storage corpse decay time is set to -1

I recommend you to set a very small value of decay time, or large storage amount for those units. If negative decay time was set, units'd never disappear unless gathered. Take care.
