Hey guys, new here. I had a couple things I was trying to do, I was wondering if anyone had any guidance for. Most guides I see are for the second game rather than the first, and as I'm modding the first, that makes it difficult.
First. Is it possible to make something neutral aggro on a player's ships? I'm trying to make pirates/coastal raiders that harass your naval economy, and I got them to attack villagers near the coast, by copying the Lion and turning it into a war galley. But it won't do anything to your fishing boats and the like, which is the main target anyway.
Second. I have a problem where it saves in a way the game can read, but it keeps getting corrupted in a way that Age can't read it itself. It's (somewhat) manageable, but I wind up having to sort out backups to find out where it messed up, and often wind up losing hours of progress on something in a perfectly playable state. (Windows XP is my OS for the editor, in a VM, so that might be related, but the problem wasn't there until the mod got bigger, which might also be related)
Third. Is there any way to force anything to automatically train in the first game's engine? Something like the Ottomon ability from the third game, where it keeps spawning something over time during it's lifespan.
Finally. Any known way to edit strings in the resource list? (Under the civilization screen?)
The game accesses them just fine, but all the new ones say "Resource". This is just an inconvenience, as I have succeeded in creating additional trackers in this system, but it's hard to tell em apart.
