Hello there, i just a newbie starting to discover how to mod and create a mod for myself. I already learning the graphic part, but what i still dont know how to use is the dat thing, like spliting civilizations.
Anyone can help me with a tutorial on how i can split a data for each civilization (so i can have graphics for each one). Didn'd find any mod similar.

There are mods like that already made in steam workshop where you get different unit/building skins for each civi.

Yes. It will be a little more complicated, but it is basically the same.

It's 3 things actually.
I have a graphic that i would like to change the original colors of this specific unit to player color (like a cape or chest for example).
Resize a unit who is too big or to small, to match the others.
And i also trying to creat some graphics by myself, like inserting a guy with scorpion for example (like the alpha scorpion)

You need to do all of those manually.

use photoscape to resize units, have a mode that modifies all images and saves them all at once. (batch editor -after editor-)

@Mahazona: You mean, every frame?
I was thinking about extracting the slp to bitmap using Turtle, and then use a program to swap colors (like all green colours to red collors) or something like that.
I do believe that using Merger and shave i could do it at once, without having to do frame by frame, since it compiles all the frames/bmp into one archive. Is that possible?
I did try to use SLX swap color function but it didn't work ( i probably did something wrong i guess).
@fknabyss thanks for the tip, will use this program for sure.

I found some units that doesn't have a shadow, it looks like it is separated in another file. Anyone know how i can merge in AGE shadow graphic + unit graphic?

In Graphics windows of AGE3 click on SLP Tool and select object, shadow and a object copy to be the mix of them.

Hey, me again. I'm almost finishing it!
I have resized some units using AGE, but some units ended up with a purple line around it. Is it normal?

Hey fknabyss, sorry for taking so much to thank you. Been away from aoe2 and now with Covid19 i'm able to do my things again.
Thanks a lot for the help.
I'm manage to lear how to use PhotoScape now. It's nice.
Just a quick question, is it possible to extract a shadow from a unit? Or i have to do edit it mannualy in a iamge editor?
Thanks, stay good ppl
