Hi guys,

Glade to be here once again after a whole year, but the positive side of this quarentine is that I can finallz put my hands once again on modding =)

My question, this time, could be very silly for most of you, but like title said, I'm really courious about knowing more about the various units radii in data modding, in order to best improve my own mod.

So my question are, can some of you detailed and kindly explain me the effects and usages of the various units radii, becaus seems I can't find anything about on google...

the radii are:



1. Selection Radius

2. Search Radius

3. Size Radius

4. Editor Radius



I think they are self explanatory, but I want to be ensured by experts like you about what I'm touching in modding

Selection radius is the most visible change you can make,

Size radius determines the actual space taken by the unit/building

search radius is (I strongly believe) the area within which the unit would pursue units within its LOS (?)

Editor radius is both the selection and size radius, applied in the scn editor. Set it to the lowest setting (0) and you can overlap and place every object freely (stacking) pixel perfect, so you don't have placement limits (depends on terrain type). That's how it works in AoE, I assume the same applies to AoK, correct me if I'm wrong.
