This is a rather fruitless topic, and I too think it should be closed.
There are a few interesting articles in last months Sceintific American, in which the author argues the point that the scientific explaination is actually a very good answere to the question of Gods existance... God, he argues, is in fact so wise, that he created earth in such a way that everything would evolve, from the simplest of simple lifeforms to the awesomely complex beings of today. He thinks that the church and science can coexist very well, as long as one does not try and take on the role of the other, which has happened lately, and is the cause of all the arguing.
None of the above is my opinion. I'm neutral on the matter. This topic has been argued to death and is completly pointless, so shut up.
