Meh, my quality work didn't start until EE. My early work for AoK is far from my favourite, it all gets better from The Principality onwards. Pawns of the Empire and my new AoC scenarios are by far my favourite works. The Warlord Chronicles campaign was mediocre and had a storyline that I can now view only as poor and an affront to the books (though 95% of players said they brought the books to life so at least it wasn't total shit) and my Cortez scenarios were terribly clunky in the dialogue department. Actually I haven't played The Principality in years so perhaps the dialogues there were poor, too, but its gameplay (and Pawns's) was simply revolutionary (and unrivalled).
My most recent AoC scenarios bring the past to life in the best way I can and avoid poor storylines because they're simply retellings of historical events with lively dialogues partly picked from historical sources (like, in The Siege of Prague, Sigismund's exclamation that he'd rather shit in the faces of the Hussites than surrender the Vysehrad castle to him - sort of a strange statement because shitting in someone's face, while odd, is not damaging to the shitter in any way). In other words, there's probably more differences than similarities between my various projects. I have been releasing campaigns since 2000, after all.
Also, I've come across Stan myself. Not a very pleasent fellow. Was in TS for while.
I thought it was Punk? Perhaps it was both. Anyway, he had a column on Punk for a while where he was trying to be like Maddox. It was rather sad.
