Hi fellow Agers! So HeavenGames is working on making a number of t-shirts with the HG logo on the front and some sort of amusing or interesting text on the back. I've been trying to think of ideas for shirts that could be created for you guys at Age of Kings Heaven; would you all be able to give me any thoughts on my one idea, tell me which t-shirts you might be willing to get, and if you have any suggestions for any other t-shirts? That'd be awesome.

But that's an inside joke that maybe thirty people are in on. No one you see in real life will get it, but they'll be curious. So if they ask, do you really want to explain the backstory - that being that an admin on a gaming forum thinks of himself as a dictator and formed his own pretend political party.

If the shirts were cheap and didn't go out of their way to have HG logos on them, I would consider purchasing one.

Oh, and I support the Arocracy Monkey logo t-shirt idea.

No, I'll tell them I support this dictator and wish to subjugate the state to his whims. I'll finish by either shedding tears seemingly in an emotional state telling about his nobility (i.e. cruelty) or yelling a creepy 'Hail Aro!'

Who cares, you've already lost the game with the HG logo.

Oh my god... really, guys... whoever buys a gaming t-shirt realllly has to get a life before it's too late... No seriously, a T-shirt with your favorite band or so is acceptable but a damned online gaming community, ON YOUR TT-SHIRT! is ridiculous. At least, that's what I think of it ;p

I don't really see the big deal, cilib. If I want to wear a t-shirt with my favourite gaming site printed on it, then I bloody well will and no one's gunna have any say in that. Besides, how's it any different to wearing a t-shirt with your favourite sports brand etc?

Umm, isn't it by traditional partly jocular standards 'too late' already when you buy one? Also, I totally agree with Mashy Potaty, it's hardly any different from wearing sports brand clothes. Also, your premise seems to be that having a life is not hanging out in the internet; HOWEVER, a significant population of youths in the wealthier countries and increasingly in the poorer countries DO spend time in the internet, thus forcing us to ponder about the standards for 'having a life'.

So if you get one of these t-shirts and someone tells you that you have no life, just say that ^^

Yeah or you can say something like "11" and they'll have no clue. So my suggestion's better because it also includes subtle criticism on society.

Is that a reference to the laughing AoK taunt? And by the way, you're right about more and more people spending time on the internet, but the difference is that the majority (can I call them regular people? ) simply use the internet for instant messaging, MySpace/FaceBook/Bebo/etc, music/video piracy, and research - not so much gaming forums. So when it comes to 'having a life', it's doesn't really break down into internet users and non-internet users; it breaks down into socialising with those you know in real life, and socialising with people you met on the internet and don't actually know. And yes, I know there are exceptions, so don't bother nitpicking.
So my suggestion's better because it also includes subtle criticism on society.
They're both your suggestions... I was just sarcastically telling you to use the "Everyone spends time on the internet now!" argument to point out that how you act on a forum (especially one like AoKH with a significantly higher average IQ) will generally not work as well in real life, which is why I think it's best to act appropriately in each in order to get the best of both worlds. If they mix too much, one can impede the other. So yeah, no t-shirt for me, thanks .

A valid point, my friend! However, it also raises the question whether one online community is less 'life' inducing than another. If you walk around wearing a MySpace or YouTube (all these combined words with middle capitalisation!!) t-shirt, how is that any different from wearing a HG t-shirt? What makes one online grant less of a life than another? Also, I really, really don't understand most t-shirts I see. Once saw a bloke wearing a Dinosaur Comics t-shirt (I own one now, too!)
They're both your suggestions...
This is what I call a win-win situation!
All right I was implying that saying '11' (an AOK taunt, not a lyric from Tool's 'Jimmy') was the average AOKHer comeback, and I was offering a better solution.

Speaking of nerds, I just watched Jurassic Park for the first time in 11 years and I must say... Spielberg is a witch. Also, lots of stuff paleontological evidence makes no promises about. Paleontology's all 'Yeah, that's a nice idea OK. I'll think about it.'
Nostalgic though.

The difference is that people know what MySpace and YouTube are, and a lot of them frequent the sites. That being said, it's still geeky and uncool to wear such t-shirts . Unless they're actually funny, in a mainstream kinda way. That's an exception to most rules.
Also, I really, really don't understand most t-shirts I see

I don't see how responding to a query with a number relevant only to the game the person knows nothing about can be considered 'average'. It's funnier to imagine though...

Then write it upsidedown and backwards! That way whenever you look down at it, you can read it. And you only have to worry about getting beat up if you're doing a handstand in front of a mirror.

Umm, people don't beat me up for wearing Nike shoes or Levi's jeans? Not that I do, but I don't know anybody wearing those clothes who'd ever been beat up BECAUSE OF THAT. People do stuff that practically says 'USA A-OK!' all the time but rarely anyone gets beat up because of that.

Levi's are too expensive... Though I wear Nikes and whatnot. Do brands really matter? There are those who only buy brands, and those who never buy brands. If it looks good, brand is irrelevant.

By the way, how do you pronounce Adidas? In Ireland, it's Addy-DAS, but I've heard Americans pronounce it A-DEE-Das. Sorry for going off-topic, I'm just curious.

Adolf Dasler was a German, and Adidas is a German company, so it'd be wise to pronounce it German, as in Addy-DAS... or similar. Note the I.

Actually, great point. If it looks good, the brand and what's on the shirt will probably be irrelevant. That's why I'm eager to see what the shirt looks like.

If it looks quite good and doesn't have "Heaven Games" in huge letters, then yeah, maybe. I'd suggest a "HG" or "AoKH" - the acronym as opposed to a blatant advertisement.

Mm, looks ain't all in case your mum never taught you that. Seriously. I've had jeans that looked great and were cheap but OH GUESS WHAT the pockets exploded. And if KEYS do that, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO PUT IN YOUR POCKETS?!?! Levi's jeans really are quality stuff. Really. I've worn a pair that I've had since who knows when and they're GREAT. Lately I haven't worn them since I've got a bunch of new jeans, though.
