It's delusional to think that both candidates are not completely guilty of attacking the other. That's how political races are carried out, unfortunately. I never brought up a point about attacks, simply because the argument leads nowhere. By the same token as your example, I could point out that Obama attacked McCain by running ads referencing his lack of computer skills, when this is due to his war wounds. Do you really think that Obama actually supporting an ad that insults injured POWs is better than a rouge extremist at a McCain rally shouting out his own personal feeling? IIRC, McCain didn't pay that man, he actually stopped him as you pointed out. Obama on the other hand actually paid for his computer skills ad.
My point was Obama's actual support of a known terrorist. I couldn't care less what a few crazy people think. There's plenty of horrific things yelled at Obama rallies.
Not to mention his insane pastor. If Obama can attend a church for however many years and be completely oblivious to the hatred growing inside, as he claims, how exactly am I supposed to trust that he won't become completely oblivious to something growing administration. I think his answer for that really hurt him.
And as for death threats in general, I think George Bush takes the (enormous) cake on that one. So the democrats are still trying to catch up in that regard.
