Hi again. In this July oil price touches well near US$150, and now it drops to about US$60. What the hell causes that thing?

Open minded...? That was mistype! Perhaps the mastermind of this messy mistype is the lack of vocab. Well, to stop this mad debate, I decide to pull 2 last sentences on post 11. By the way, may I ask how to ban myself without doing actions that forbidden by CoC? I am going to change my name. Lastly, I'm a Muslim. Indonesian Knight, got the thing?

A namechange thread pops up maybe once a year, and the last one was a week ago, so you just missed it.

I don't think HG bans you upon request.

It's much like death row, where you are forbidden to commit suicide. You die on their terms.

Mechstra? How he did it? Frankly, I read the BB code guide, and I accidentally saw that if this account inactive in 60 days, this account will be deleted. Is it?

That latter system is no longer in place. But if you want to get your account banned you can contact a staff member who can do it (ie not me, Aro's probably your best bet on AoKH) and request a voluntary ban.

Thanks, Kor, but I won't do that. Chances are, I'll make a new account, and let this account forgotten. My last bequeath before I passed a face-off: Beware of punctuation! Not just homophones, even wrong punctuations may severely change the meaning of the sentence. A good example (unfortunately, it is in Indonesian, but I'll give the meaning) is like this:
PAK, CARIKAN TEMAN-TEMAN DENGAN SAYA (Daddy, seek my friend with me) versus PAK CARIK ANTEM-ANTEMAN DENGAN SAYA (The clerk fights against me).
Got it? Beg pardon about anything I've done.

Aren't teman-teman and possibly antem-anteman plural forms? I'm not sure about this so it might well be false but I heard that in Indonesian you say a word twice to put it in plural form.

Edit: this is merely out of interest, btw.

No, Kor. What he meant was a sentence which has ambiguity. An example would be 'the man is eatting the bread on the table'. It could be interpreted in two ways. Either the bread which's being eaten was on the table, or the man is eatting it while he's on the table.

In the case of Los Templiero's sentence though, it's a matter of the speaker's punctuation and vocal emphasis between words. Is it Javanese, by any chance? Or possibly Malay, I'm not sure?

Yes and no. Yes, the first phrase is plural, but the second one isn't. Note that in Indonesian, reduplication with suffix -an IMHO has at least 2 notions: reciprocal and artificial. (Is it right?) In above case, it's notion is reciprocal.
Sigh, the topic of this thread isn't clear: oil, religion, farewell message, and presently grammar. And one more thing, this account will stay used. FYI, I've typed post 35 while I felt like I'm going to die (eh?). For Indonesian Knight, the location part in my posts could give you a great clue about the dialect that influenced how I speak in Indonesian, since I filled it with my real location. If you need more clue about your correct guess about me, I will add something in my sig.

For the record, you can just call me 'IK'. It's way shorter and finger-friendly.

I know you're a western Javanese, so does that mean "carik antem2an" is a javanese phrase? It resembles Malay language a bit to me, but I'm not an expert in linguistics, mind you. You know how vastly diversed our domestic languages are.

Don't be concerned about the inconsistency of the thread's topic. This is the town's crier, where anything can happen as long as it remains within the CoC influence. I still feel bad about derailing your thread in the first place, though. But I've gotta give it to you, I would never thought I'd meet a fellow countryman here, who still play a game which has lived for almost a decade.

I understood that, I merely asked an unrelated question regarding the language in general.

Thanks for explaining, Templiero.

Later on, just call me Templar, because my account's name was based on it. (Don't associate me with Knights Templar, though.) IK, I know that you're going to be an accountant, right? I acknowledge it, don't worry. Well, you thought that I live in West Java, but my hometown is only about 80 km from Surabaya, hence I live in East Java. (For those who haven't accustomed with metric units, it's about 50 miles.) For the inconsistency, the thing is when a person clicked this thread, he/she may thought that there's some liar here.

Mistype again? Oops, what I've thought? Now let's back to the topic. Frankly, I'm really suspicious that beside clean demand-and-supply, oil price also driven by speculators. Was it right? When the price went really high, I worried about the so-called oil crisis in 70's, honestly. I hope such a crisis is uncompareable against the 1929 crisis. Amen.
