The UP AI Scripting Ladder

Welcome to the third continuous installment of the AoKH AI Scripting Ladder, now supporting Userpatch for the first time. Here you can enter your AI to compete against AIs with a wide range of abilities and a huge range of strategies. Whether it's to improve your AI's skill or whether you want to enjoy the exciting fun and community it provides, the Userpatch AI scripting ladder will suit your needs.

The Userpatch (UP) is a community patch that provides enormous benefits to the game, allowing AIs to become exponentially more intelligent, among others. Click here to download the patch and learn about everything the Userpatch can do! You'll find many scripters here who are more than willing to help you learn how to script and how to use the new UP commands.

Also, if you enjoy scripting, you should join the AI scripters community at http://forums.aiscripters.com/. You can also find a guide to AI scripting here and a guide to the new UP commands here.

How Do I Join?

If you want to enter the ladder, just drop a post in the thread with a link to your AI, tell us what civ you want it to play, and your AI will be added to the ladder.

When you enter your AI, it will play four unrated games against different opponents and given a rating based on its performance. Once your AI has been given a rating, your AI is ready to enter round play and climb up the ladder.

New: Each forummer can only have one AI in the ladder at any time.

How Does the Ladder Work?

Like multiplayer ladders, the AI ladder determines an AI script's overall skill ability over the course of several games and compares the skill ratings of other AIs to each other.

The AI Ladder uses the ELO system, the same system used to rank chess players or players on online gaming sites such as Voobly. The ladder is run in rounds with each AI grouped in a league of (ideally) five AIs according to ability. During each round, each AI will play each other AI in its league twice. The winning AI's score in each match will be increased according to its opponent's score, either a large amount if the AI defeated a higher ranked opponent or a smaller amount if the AI defeated a lower ranked opponent. The losing AI's score is decreased in the same way. Once the round is over, a new one begins, creating continuous cycles of competitive fun.

To make things more interesting, we randomize between Arabia, Ghost Lake, Gold Rush, Mongolia, Oasis, and Yucatan. To facilitate the randomization, you can download the official AI Ladder random map randomizer to test your AI and to test matches: link

AI Classes:

New: All AIs are divided into leagues according to ability, with ideally 5 AIs in each league. The leagues are reorganized at the end of each round to re-sort the AIs into the leagues by ability.

If an AI is the lowest-ranked AI, has at least 75 points lower than every other AI, and has lost at least three games in a row, the AI will likely be dropped unless the author requests the AI to remain in the ladder.

Game Requests:

New: Requested games no longer count for score, but they can be requested nevertheless.

Previous AI Ladders:

In addition, for those who like a bit of nostalgia, you can find the previous installments of the AI scripting ladder here:

Schedule:

Anyone can judge any of the games in the AI ladder, and judges do not have to sign up for a game before playing it. However, you may make a post in the thread if you wish to reserve a game to judge. Those who are willing to judge and record these games, please post for which games you would like to play. Authors should not judge games that contain their own AI. All games should be played on Hard difficulty, tiny map, 200 pop, Dark Age, low resources, and Conquest victory. The current version of the Userpatch (version 1.4) and the official randomizer map script should be used. Games will be considered a draw if they last more than two hours, unless an AI has less than 2 villagers at the two hour mark. Thus, you can end the game after two hours if you wish.

It is recommended that the judges cheat "natural wonders" so that there is no possibility of interference from the judge. However, if you feel that this would hamper your ability to review the game you may opt not to do this, as long as you provide the recorded game.

If you decide to use Cheat Engine's speedhack feature, please limit your games to x5 speed on Slow speed or x3 speed on Fast speed, unless one AI has clearly won the game and you want to speed up the "cleaning up" process. Any faster speedhack is prone to mess up AI functionality on slower computers.

Once the game is finished, please write a short review of the game. Provide helpful comments on what were each AI's weak points so that the authors of the scripts can know how to update them. Also post the recorded game link along with the review. To make it easier for us to gather information from the reviews, please post the reviews of the games in this format (just copy it into your post and edit it):

Nightmare (Byzantines) vs. Nosferatu (Vikings)
Map Type: Oasis

Vikings prepared a trush. Byz delayed intentionally their feudal advance, I ignore if they prepared a flush or just cancelled a castle jump because they detected the faster enemy advance.

Vikings could afford barrack while advancing, but they understandably waited to reach feudal age to build it and train a few spears. So Byz barracked almost at the same time despite to their delayed advance... with stronger eco. Vikings built a forward tower, but too far from byz base, so their enemies didn't even notice it.

Byz built 3 archery ranges and created a big feudal army which attacked and destroyed easily vik spears and damaged a lot vik eco. They only stoped when they built a further lumber camp and discovered vik tower, so archers and skirms backed. That tower destroyed a lot of these ranged units, so in this aspect it was cost effective, but byz kept a huge numerical advantage and restarted their attack.

Vikings built a few stables and trained light and heavy cavalry, good general units in the castle age and great vs archery. Although byz had outnumbered too much, so their second attack was unstopable. Vikings had reached castle age faster because a lower number of military buildings and smaller feudal army, but couldn't build extra town centers because their eco was too damaged for it. Just monastery and stables, although they tried a castle which was cancelled because their builders died too fast.

Byz add catas andsiege and increased their army, finishing quickly their opponents.

IS_Machine (Full Random => Saracens) vs. The Khanate (Full Random => Koreans)
Map Type: Oasis

IS_Machine flushed while The Khanate went for a market+smith FC. Since the flush wasn't met with any resistance aside from TC arrows it quickly disposed of many of Khanate's villagers and decided the outcome of the game here. Khanate still reached the castle-age, but only at 28 minutes and only built more town-centers and a monastery. IS_Machine advanced to the castle-age shortly after and kept training more military in order to end the game.

Winner: IS_Machine
Game time: 00:44:45
Recorded game: https://app.box.com/s/1lba0y01lmap91v7v8fw

Notes: IS_Machine lost more units than it killed even though it's biggest army was 68 and Khanate's was 4 (monks).
IS_Machine's units also walked more than they actually fought, one time they retreated when a ram got attacked by a town-center (the ram retreated too).
Khanate first didn't have any farms in the feudal age, then it built like 20 at once.

The Khanate (Full Random => Koreans) vs. Boss (Full Random => Chinese)
Map Type: Arabia

Khanate ups fast to feudal with 25 pop and builds a forward tower. It attacks quickly Boss' lumber with skirmishers and spearmen and kills some villagers.

Khanate enters castle age at an advantage, and it decides to jump fast to imperial age without adding much economy first. Due to unnecessary spearman training it doesn't afford any imperial upgrades early whereas with pure arbalests it'd have been much more dangerous.

When Khanate eventually attacks at imperial Boss has already prepared and its skirmishers counter Khanate's army well. After that it's a downfall for Khanate.

The Horde (Random => Turks) vs UnfaireSteel (Random => Britons)
Map Type: Ghost Lake.

Both AIs made a Fast Castle. Turks with a feudal stable and Britons with an archery. In castle age both combined military and economy, but with Turks more focused in the first (early second stable) and Britons in the second (they were building their third town center while Turks had finished their second.

Turks started to attack because they had a greater military (higher numbers and more powerful units) and less villagers. But they cancelled it when arrived to Briton base. Britons had a few monks, but I guess that the reason was the castle. I think that the attack could be succesful despite to it, although I am perhaps a bit crazy. XD

Turks attacked later, now with a few rams, but it was stopped because monks are quite annoying, mainly versus heavy cavalry. Despite to that Turks imperialed a minute early (42v43). Both civs with 5 tower center working like mad.

Turks had a balanced economy, but Britons +2000 food and less than 200 gold. It allowed a third attack which was too destructive for them.

Winner: The Horde

Nightmare (Byzantines) vs. Flash Myn (Mayans)
Map Type: Mongolia

Nightmare flushes and Flash Myn sends units to death one-by-one. Flash Myn's strategy is FC-ish and it is first to advance to castle age, but unupgraded castle age eagles can't stand Nightmare's skirmishers and archers' fire.

Nightmare doesn't retreat from TC and loses attacking army, but the eco lead is too much already. Nightmare adds knights and rams to finish Flash Myn.

Hey guys,

I'm currently working on my first AI with the userpatch which im hopefully able to submit to the AI ladder anytime soon

I hope to become part of the AI community, and herby i also jugded my first game

The_Unknown (Full random => Britons) vs. Chameleon (Full random => Mongols)

Map Type: Gold Rush

The_Unknown going for a fast castle & Chameleon going for really small flush. The_Unknown loses a villager to a wolf in the dark age. Chameleons boar died quite far away from drop-off points. Chameleons flush walked straith into the tc and died without really doing any damage. The_Unknown reached castle-age at 19:02 where it instantly dropped 3 more tc's and started to boom fully with a few scorpions and monks. Chameleon reached castle age at 23:43 And didn't make any more tc's for a while. Neither did it attack although it had about 20 troops vs 9 defending troops. Giving The_Unknown a free boom. The game ended shortly after The_Unknown hit imperial age at 33 mins and started spamming Arbalests.

Notes: The_Unknown: Has a verry large drop-off-distance it went hunting deer over 40 tiles, and mining gold at about 20 once, not verry effective not for early on anyhow.
Chameleon: Made a lot of excess farms early on delaying his feudal-age army with alot. also on the end of the game his villagers went fighting against the fully upgraded archer army. I can see how this works in feudal age but later then that its slightly suicidal.

Winner: (The_Unknown)

Juggernaut (evil Huns) vs Promi 1.4o (-> chinese)

oh I am already a bit off things, what a map is it ,lots of food (yummy turkeys), Yucatan ?

both ate fat and went fast to feudal, chinese more fat and those knew it and didn't hesitate to visite the close placed opponent already in the 15th minute with a nice group of ranged units.
bad for the Huns that they occupated right the only fb gc and managed to keep far from TC arrows.
Huns lost insane single defenders to the more and more growing chinese trash , although those were'nt really able to disturb the hunnic gatherers except the gold miners.
so this scene lasted until Promi switched to CA, meanwhile so 40 soldiers to nothing but villagers. Rams up and game over in welldone 37 minutes

Uff, my Ai is outdated, so far I get from this judge job.

Welcome to the aiscripting world, Armelon!

If you have any problems to create your AI (you will have ) or need any idea, you just have to tell it. You'll find that scripting community is really helpfull with new people, too with old ones.

You can request for help here, although I suggest you to download your AI updates not just in this web, too in the aiscripters forums because in that web old scripters are more active so you'll receive information faster.

Fresh meat is nice.

IS_Machine (Full random => Mayans) vs. Crusade (Full random => Turks)

Map Type: Yucatan

Both AI's going for a flush IS_Machine beeing first to reach feud, also the first to go for the offensive with mainly skirms, a few archers and spears . Crusade's army consiting out of scout, archers and skirmishers is able to quickly destroy most of IS_machine's army. Is_machine manages to place a placed defensive tower just in time and manages to survive.

Both AI advance to the castle-age without more fighting. IS_Machine is again the first to try and take the offensive, but also yet again Crusade counters the army easy and pushes IS_machine back. IS_machine now having a well placed castle and tc clearing up 90% of crusades army before he manges to destroy them. Seconds after crusade destroyed IS_Machine main defences IS_machine reaches imperial-age and starts pushing the still castle Crusade back. With some imperial-age siege IS_machine is able to push true crusades defences quite easy and the cleaning up begins.

Nosferatu (Vikings) vs. Flash myn (Mayan)

Map Type: Yucatan

Nosferatu went for a fast castle-ish style but with a offensive tower in feudal-age. Flash myn went for a fast castle. both AI's reached castle age at around 20 mins. Flash myn gold was forward. Nosferatu had his gold towered and 3 skirms. at this point it was just a really slow and long killing

Notes: Nosferatu didnt make more villagers in feudal age, although it had more then 800 food and stayed there for quite a long time.
Flash myn could have secured his base by making some trash or using the villagers

Winner: (Nosferatu)

TRON (Mongols) vs. Babarian (Full Random => Aztec)

Map Type: Ghost Lake

Both AI's went for a flushing set-up TRON having a verry smooth upping. Babarian on the other hand let both boars reset more times then i could count, i think 8. he upped to feudal age before his second boar was even slaughterd.

Despite this he didnt got in trouble and both AI's had a stalemate in the feudal-age. both putted up a defensive tower and didnt do much during the feudal age.

Babarian reached castle age at 25:45 and TRON at 28:36 Babarian right away made a siege-workshop + ram and was waiting on it before attacking. TRON attacked right away as he reached castle age. After some fighting inside Babarian's defensive tower TRON had to retreat and Babarian followed. Babarian added in some rams but then TRON managed to push out again destroying babarians attack. The fight then shortly was in Babarians town again untill he forced TRON back, TRON then almost lost a town-center to babarian's attack but manged to push him back one last time. Babarian now having a well placed castle their was nothing TRON could do. Babarian then kepr pushing and upped to imperial-age and ended the game at 52:42.

Chamleon (Full Random => Japanese) vs. Flash myn (Mayans)

Map Type: Mongolia

Chameleon went for a 3 man flush where flash myn went for a fast castle. Flash myn hitting castle age at 20:56, then it slowly started training troops and upgrading them, eagle warriors and xbows. Chameleon reached castle at 24:44 and made longswords, elite skirms. At 31 mins flash myn finaly felt it had enough troops and tried to attack. After fighting on the border of chameleons town for a while the attack got destroyed doing considerably few damage for the heavy cold costs of the army. then at 40 minutens while it almost hitted imperial age flash myn tried to attack again and saw his army get destroyed before he could get any of the imperial-age upgrades. Chameleon reached imperial-age at 50:18 and then started pushing true flash myn's defences. Flash myn not having enough gold anymore to support his gold heavy army couldnt produce enough units to stop chameleons attack.

Notes: Chameleon had about 8+ idle farms for quite a long time in the dark / feudal-age.
Flash Myn: Should make a few more mining camps, it was actualy mining on more gold but had to walk for about 30 and 40 miles. Might consider making trash if it doesnt have the gold. and while your upping to the imperial-age you might want to wait with attacking untill you actualy have the upgrades of the imperial-age else the whole imperial-age brings few extra's as in this case.

Boss (Full Random => Mongols) vs. Crusade (Full Random => Mongols)
Map Type: Yucatan

Interestingly full random provides a top civ on yucatan for both AIs. There are only a few narrow crossings over the river splitting the map in half.

Boss wastes some time by taking loom at pop 5 and gathering berries from the not-milled forage bush. Both AIs do mistakes in economy but they're pretty reversed: Boss advances to feudal with 24 population, but it doesn't even have a barracks when it hits feudal while Crusade builds multiple unnecessary farms instead of gathering more food to up faster.

Crusade goes for scout+archer+skirmisher flush with some towers, but first attack simply dies to town center. Forward towers are too far from Boss' town and they don't help the attack.

Boss reaches castle age just when it is hit by Crusade's new and heavier attack. Boss makes a crucial mistake by taking leather archer armor instead of bodkin arrow, and Boss is unable to counter Crusade's attack. Crusade kills most of Boss' villagers without caring about TC fire.

IS_Machine (Full Random => Mongols) vs. UnfairSteel (Full Random => Celts)
Map Type: Yucatan
(but without the river, just tiny puddles instead)

IS_Machine advanced to the feudal age at 09:36 and started training everything possible (militia, spearmen, archers, skirmishers and later even scouts) while Steel advanced later and immediately went for skirmishers out of two ranges. Since IS_M didn't attack early enough Steel was able to catch up in military population quickly (2 ranges vs 1 until IS_M built more at 17-18+ min) and later Steel's skirmishers even won a small skirmish (no pun intended).

Steel advances to the castle-age at 25 minutes and immediately starts to build a forward-ish castle (pretty much in the center) and additional town-centers. He upgrades his skirmishers and then mainly focusses on boosting its economy while IS_M only advanced minutes later and then threw everything he had into Steel's castle (no siege units though).

In response to that Steel starts a big attack before advancing to the imperial age at 44 minutes. If IS_M didn't suicide its knights into a castle it might have had a shot at defending from this attack since steel only used tons of skirmishers + some scorpions and rams in this first wave (which can be countered easily). Steel realized this too and quickly started to train halbs and cavaliers before IS_M resigned shortly after the 50 minute mark.

TRON (Mongols) vs. Unfairsteel (Full Random => Spanish)

Map Type: Mongolia

Both AI's went for a flush set-up Unfairsteel double stable full scouts. Tron stable and range and mixed everything a bit.
Neither of the AI's done anything in feudal age.

While TRON was upping to castle age unfairsteel "lured" a couple of soldiers back to his town by his scout running true TRON's base. all these units died without doing any damage.

When TRON reached castle age he launched his attack straith into 2 towers and a castle and lost everything.

He tried this 2 more times later while unfairsteel kept sitting behind his castles just getting everything ready for imperial-age.

Both AI's reached imperial-age around a similar time, again TRON was the first to move in and again the now 4 castles of unfairsteel finshed off half the army without taking damage. Finaly unfairsteel felt it had enough troops and upgrades and launched his first and final attack.

Notes: TRON wanted to place a mining camp on the gold inside unfairsteel base when it clicked up to imp. this cost him 2-3 villager and about 8 idles.

Winner (Unfairsteel)

Babarian (Full Random => Franks) vs. Promi (Full Random => Teutons)

Map Type: Ghost Lake

Both AI's went fully for their feudal-age battle, although because their army sizes where so much the same not much real fighting happend. Both AI's had 4 ranges. Promi tried to attack a couple of times but almost everytime turned around after it encounterd the tower, it almost seemed like it wanted to lure Barbarian troops out of his town but he resetted them everytime they went to far. Babarian didnt lose any units in feudal-age i believe, Promi about 10 due to the tower / attack atempts.

Both AI's advanced to the castle age at a pretty simliar times Promi 30:21 with 121 population and Babarian 30:33 with 142 population.

Yet again both AI's picked pretty much exactly the same aproch, stables with a couple of knights and siege-workshop with scorpions togather with the army of mainly skirms with some xbows.

Babarian then pushed into Promi's town where it seemed like it was gonne be able to take the win due to 20+ more military but better function scropions in defence forced Babarian back. Babarian not much later tried to attack again but also this got pushed back. A couple more small battles occurd. non fatal.

Both AI's advanced to the imperial-age Babarian 49:38 - Promi 50:36 Both AI's where on 200 population waiting for the upgrades. Promi beeing the first to attack with Cavaliers, taking a fight in Babarian castles who also just had the Paladin upgrade completed. From that point Barbie started pushing Promi and didnt stop anymore.

Excellent play by both AI's!

Daedric's civ isn't stated anywhere so I'll assume it plays random.

Entrance Game1: Daedric (Full Random => Persians) vs. Crusade (Full Random => Britons)
Map Type: Gold Rush

Daedric is late to find 2nd boar and the boar stops following lurer while lurer walks back to TC, spending even more time. This leads to pretty slow feudal age time.

Both AIs have so large camp distance that they drop their first camps on middle gold. Daedric mines some gold from nearby gold pile without a camp.

Army composition of Daedric and Crusade is similar; both use m@a and skirmishes, and Crusade a few archers on top of them. By some reason Crusade opts for early forging.

Perhaps resources spent in blacksmith+forging were too much away from unit production, as Daedric takes upper hand in battle. Crusade's mining camp is too far to be defended, and gold miners hopelessly attempt to reach it.

Daedric is first to click up to castle after pretty long feudal age war. It keeps training men-at-arms while advancing to castle age, which probably isn't a good idea. Daedric booms and trains some xbows at castle age, while Crusade is stuck at feudal age. Crusade attempts to harass Daedric's miners, but it can't deal enough damage against Persian economy with multiple TCs.

Crusade can't do much once boomed Daedric starts to attack, but it doesn't show any interest in resigning either.

As a side note, Daedric could train monk earlier to pick up relics since it built an early monastery anyway. At imperial age Daedric also seemed to forget ring archer armor for a long time despite large xbow+eskirm leftover army.

Winner: Daedric

Daedric (Full Random => Turks) vs. TRON (Mongols)
Map Type: Gold Rush

Gold Rush is notorious for being a map with uneven gold distribution (center gold being on one half of the map only), but in this game it was very fair.
Daedric went for a pure archer flush while TRON went for scouts, skirms and archers. No AI ever attempted to attack though and thus both advanced to the castle-age at roughly 25:30, immediately took all important military upgrades and attacked. There wasn't a clear winner in that fight, TRON pushed Daedric back first and did some small eco damage but lost too many units to a TC and thus Daedric managed to push back TRON now. That push never stopped and eventually lead to TRON's defeat.

Nightmare (Byzantine) vs. Nosferatu (Vikings)
Map Type: Yucatan

Nosferatu went for a flush, Nightmare tried to go for a KnightRush. Nosferatu placed several forward towers and with those totaly destroyed Nightmare. Nightmare never got the gold to actual up to the castle age because he tried to place his mining camp on Nosferatu's gold. Neither did he make a market when he got the wood.

Nosferatu focused the rest of the game mainly on his eco and finaly finished off Nightmare when he reached imperial age.

Notes: Nightmare did turn into a defensive flush but never got a new mining-camp anymore.
Nosferatu you might wanne add in some rams earlier if you got such an advantage. In imp Nosferatu went for cavaliers as main army this is not really a strenght of vikings

txs for judging, Armeleon.

Nightmare isn't a weak script, unlucky a bit.
Its flush is impressive once it had time to do the preparations without being disturbed, just missing some micro stuff.
Byz are one of the best Ai civs IMO (only say: Lade 0.9.4)
That Nm prepared a krush I've never seen lol

Nos, meanwhile, plays multiciv so the chevs are intended.
Nos may also train other units if necessary, anyway Viks suck in Imp. ( for Ladder keep viks atm)
Rams are costy and you never know, do you ?
so better be prepared for a counter. When Nos decides for the final strike it's additional random.

3rd entry game

Deadric (-> celts) vs Juggernaut (huns)

we are in the upper class now and Dreadric has to prove vs hardcore huns, will see...

Playing on that nasty Oasis map, with the frozen water...

Dreadric truely fine with sheep discovery, Huns suck.
nevertheless huns attacked in feudal, daring vs an equal army.
target was a LC, but that one was close to TC so the attack was a disaster, when their army arrived quite scattered.
At least huns succeded to establish a tower, rescued their existance for now, as the ranged celtic soldiers suicid here for a while.
26th minute and Juggernaut clicked for CA research while sending a 2nd wave this time in superior count. Too bad for them: when those arrived Celts just finished X bows and bodkin.
next disaster for Juggernaut and it looked like the Huns were done now, under immediate couter having almost no army.
Lol ! just 1 knight some scouts and .. really one (!) mangonel got it to keep the purely ranged (x-bows) celtic attackers off town, the mangonel was hyper effective.
Dreadric kept on pushing trash, but was'nt able to break through, not at a moment ( yes the mangonel!). HUns now slowly recoverd while slaugtering insane amount of celtic trash, slowly gained the upper hand with far stronger units.
So 59th minute Celts arrived in imp spending resources to expensive ups like Paladin though loosing mil superiority.
even the trebs and bat rams weren't able to break through, consumpted all the gold while still producing only trash units and batt rams.
Soon after Huns arrived in Imp, and did ups to their mainly scout/ cav archer army. Still it was a big battle all the time long , but it was obvious that the strong hunnic army will be the winner, vs E-Skirmis mainly ( the gold was collected for the celts).
1.18 and Celtic must recognice that they'd lost this game.

The power of "Full Random": The chance for a mirror match up!
Daedric's 2nd mill (which was probably supposed to be constructed next to a patch of deer) got placed next to berries while Steel created a ton of farms.

For some reason Steel went for a FC with a market even though Daedric was flushing with archers. Since Daedric suicided quite some archers into the enemy town-center he wasn't able to create enough of an advantage over the FC'ing enemy to decide the game at that point already. He did kill some villagers though and thus had a slight economic advantage.

For a moment it even looked like Steel would get back into the game when he trained monks out of three monasteries, but when Daedric advanced to the castle-age and instantly researched bodkin-arrow and crossbowmen the game was decided.

Barbarian (Full Random => Goths) vs. Juggernaut (Huns)
Map Type: Gold Rush

Barbarian decided to do archer flush. Juggernaut drushed and killed two Barbarian's hunters when they decided to fight militia back. Soon Juggernaut's militia died against TC fire.

Barbarian advanced feudal age first and attacked Juggernaut, but it defended itself with archers, skirmishers and few spearmen. Barbarian attacked the second time using the DUC code and killed few villagers next to enemy lumber camp. Juggernaut fought back again and tried to do a counter attack, but without success.

Both AIs advanced castle age and Barbarian attacked with crossbowmen, skirmishers and pikemen. Juggernaut got two mangonels out quite fast and killed a lot of enemy units. After that both AIs got extra TCs. Barbarian had troubles after its starting gold mines exhausted and it was sending villagers to the middle. Juggernaut had a lot of gold miners there and also few military units which didn't let Barbarian to mine gold. Barbarian didn't build a market before clicking up to imperial and got a lot of excess food.

In imperial age both AIs upgraded their units and attacked each other in the middle. Juggernaut's army lost the battle against Elite huskarls, halberdiers and skirmishers. Barbarian destroyed enemy castles and soon all the enemy town.

Map Type: Gold Rush

Steel has issues at finding more than 4 sheep, which forces villagers to walk between berries and TC when hunting boar. Promi hits feudal age when Steel is just about to click up.

Promi flushes with archer+skirmishers and Steel does a weird slow 2 stable scout rush.By some reason Steel sets builder cap to 5 while building tower, so after a stable builder was attacked by Promi's scout Steel couldn't replace the stable or finish its blacksmith for a while.

Steel's scouts aren't able to counter Promi's flush and Promi keeps damaging Steel's economy more and more. Promi advances to castle age while Steel can't do anything any more.
