There were a bunch of neat Mods and even scenarios that apparently only work on the original AOK: The Conquerors. At least, they are listed as designed for "The Conquerors", and I failed to get them to install on the Steam HD version. Foremost among them are the RAW (ROme at War) Mod and the "A Christmas Story - Director's Cut" scenario.
The RAW Mod says that it uses the AOK:TC version.
So does that mean that I need to buy the original AOK CD and then buy the separate AOK:TC Expansion, for like 10$ each?
Or can I buy a kind of Gold Edition collection CD with multiple Expansions plus the original AOK? In other words if I buy an Expansion pack that includes the original AOK plus the Conquerors plus other Expansions, will I be able to get the Mods made for The Conquerors to work on it?
BTW, I only found two free downloads of AOK:TC online and their graphics don't work right on my system because I have a Windows 7 system and the usual several known "workarounds" like having "Screen resolution" run in the background do not work with this download version. So I am stuck buying the CD and then using those workarounds, I think.
