To Those Who Played the Scenario:

Firstly I hope you enjoyed the map and that the storyline wasn't too confusing too follow. Hopefully you haven't encountered too many bugs and if you have, I kindly suggest to read the next paragraph

Aim of This Thread:

I have just released a campaign called '~~ The Prophecy ~~'. As it is a fairly lengthy scenario, it is possible that some minor bugs might still occur when people play it (even though it has been tested hundreds of times). Should people encounter any, I would greatly appreciate it if people post them here so I can fix them as soon as possible for future downloaders. Unfortunately the "comment" option in the blacksmith requires comments to be accepted before they can be posted and can cause long delay, which is not the case with a Thread in the Scenario Design forum.

Feel free to post any suggestions or comments or constructive criticism as they will all be greatly appreciated.

Those Who Haven't Played the Scenario:

I suggest you download it and play it as soon as possible . I'm sure you'll enjoy at least a bit if Tanneur99 has called it a masterpiece.

Regards,

Silver Serpent

Excellant! It's nice to see it's ready for the Blacksmith. You've done a great job with this scenario. I'm going to download it as soon as it's released, I'm still wondering what happens to Orion!

BTW I've got that bug fixed and I can finally play scenarios again!

Good question. He should have mentioned 24-168 hours, but you know, everyone is getting busy with life nowadays.

Congrats, Silver Serpent. I apologize for my incapacity as a playtester, not being able to send feedback as you wanted.

Don't worry Andanu T, I still managed to find some great playtesters and everything is (in theory anyway) bug-free :s You said in advance you might not have to time to test, so that's not a problem at all Anyway, if my maths has not failed me I believe the scenario should be up tomorrow.

Well yes, it took longer to approve this time, but even though I am still on holidays, I pass the blacksmith whenever I have the occasion.

~~ The Prophecy ~~ is at the blacksmith and in the Blacksmith News of the Review Request thread.

I encountered no bug; the only peculiar thing was that the Elohim Prophet appeared to heal Orion when he approached the rocks to place the explosives. He was still around healing when I destroyed the last boat south later, even though I am not sure if he healed my men or the enemy. I did not see that when testing, guess I played different again arriving wounded this time.

Tanneur99, the issue you encountered is do to you placing your unit close to the invisible tile where the Elohim Prophet is located. Due to the Allied stance he moves to heal you. I'll fix this with a simple trigger tasking him on his place and update the file. I'll do this as soon as I find some more things to fix because I don't want to upload 8 mb for a small thing (8 mb is not dial-up friendly ) Thanks for reporting that Tanneur99. I'm in the process of making the 'File Description' a bit more attractive to downloaders.

This game is just awesome. I really enjoyed the first part (dreams of prosperity) However twice during a cutscene a trigger failed to fire (random bug) so I had to reload and see it all over again Currently I'm at the stealth - killing Gavin behind the wall part and it seems totally impossible. No matter what I do, Orion always misses Then I tried slaughtering all the guards and then entering the normal way- nope, that's not possible either, the Bloodhounds say "you're not welcome here" and push me out, which is strange because I'm fighting on their side I can't lure Gavin out to kill him as he's a hero (scynthian scout) and on defensive stance...

That was the best five hours (fast speed) i've ever played. There's a bug though. When the Haruchai were landing, I stormed them straight away. So, when it came o the duel(s) it said things like :

"Soldier : The ship carrying light cavalry is destroyed" and about a trebuchet being deployed and such. When the duel begins, you should deactivate all of the ones about defending Port Irony.

@ Jatayu and Turty: SPOILER DO NOT READ: What you need to do is fire at him from the protection of the palm trees (which I assume you did because you can fire at him). Secondly you need to be really as close as possible to the wall as you can to be able to get him (keep your unit on 'no attack stance' to prevent it from attacking and alarming the guards because he will escape instantly at any sign of danger). There's two or three possible tiles from where you can shoot him. Of those only one tile will ever produce a successful hit, and that only about 30% of the time. Good hunting! If you're really stuck I'll post a screenie of me successfully killing him so you can see from where to shoot. It was never meant to be easy

@ Jatayu: Please tell me what part of the cutscenes failed to fire so I can fix it for people in the future.

@ Alex Coles: Thanks for reporting the bug, I'll check into it as I never thought of storming right away. Btw, did you notice the Elohim Prophet walking around everywhere like Tannur99 did, just curious to see how often it happens?

Never noticed, since I never used marco-polo. Here's another bug :

When you need 1,000 wood for the Pyramid you can just type in the wood cheat because there is no anti-cheat measure. Maybe that there are (x) villagers in the bamboo area, a lumber camp is there and perhaps when the player has 990 wood, the 1,000 wood trigger is activated. That way you have to do it properly.

There is an anti-cheat but on 600 or so I think, instead of 990 because if 2 villagers drop off wood at the same time (at 990)the anti-cheat is activated without the player cheating. I gather if people don't cheat until 600 wood, it is unlikely they will do it afterwards as it wouldn't really be worthed. Perhaps you used lumberjack when you had already gathered 500+ wood and the anti-cheat was already deactivated.

Nuh-uh. I tested the cheat and then the 1,000 got deducted straight away so I don't think the anti-cheat measures would of activated in time.

I'll try it a few more times but it shouldn't depend on something so random as that.. and in any case you should deactivate the 'pushing out' trigger so that it's possible to win brute force in case it doesn't work.

Edit: never mind, I finished the scenario. The ending is great! A couple of questions about the duel though..
*spoiler*

According to the duel, no one can leave the arena. However I can (Orion) he can just run away anywhere he likes and even go to the oasis where a doppelganger Orion and general of the cutscene is waiting, chasing him the enemy mangudai guy also leaves the arena, contradictory to the 'rule'

Second, if the mangudai guy (name is tough to spell) becomes 'invulnerable', how come he is killed by wolves and elephants?

was a really excellent scenario though!

@ Alex Coles: You might have a point there, I didn't think of it being deducting before the anti-cheat is deactivated. But even so, if people want to cheat, that's their choice... Thanks for reporting that

@ Jatayu: I have played that part over 70 times and it has always worked (but you need to stand on the correct part of the right tile and you'll get 100% success rate), it just might take some more time. If you are truly desperate, send me the saved game and I'll do the part and send it back. Good luck

EDIT: lol it seems as if you edited that while I was making my reply. Nice to hear you managed to kill him eventually.

About the duel: Didn't really think people would test out the rule and bugger off (partly because I thought he'd have killed you by then). Will fix it and kill you if you leave the arena. If that makes you happy

Please let me know what part of that one cutscene did not work. Btw, did you test out both endings?

EDIT2: The Elohim Prophet knows secrets about life and death that even I cannot explain. His knowledge of magic runs deeper than I can understand so I'm afraid I can't answer that

well I don't remember fully now but I'm sure they're 'random' bugs- which you can't do anything about, and goes away on reloading. One of them was when Tuvor was talking to the woman about the horses being killed etc.

I have got a problem with your desert, Silver Serpent. Trees just didn't grow on pure desert, it occured around Oases (not Oasises, that's a typo) and I suggest you fill up the endless sand dunes with something else. However, amazing usage of just over half a map!

Please change the desert. Think of anything realistic to replace the trees. I mean, there were bandits. Perhaps dead bodies, a broken trade cart or two and some rugs around it. It'll be realistic, since they are merchant towns but not over-doing it. I would give the map 5.0 if the trees were mostly removed. I wouldn't mind a few in the vicinity of the oases but when they are put down randomly it just looks fake.

To be true I think the large number of trees in the desert would make me give a 4 in map design, which is sad because the rest of the map is beautifully designed. If you intended it to be a semi-desert area, you could have put some grass/dirt2 as well and the trees would have made sense. If it was meant to be a full desert (which I think you intended because Orion is thirsty etc.) the trees make no sense, I would suggest you remove them and put some more dirt1 and cactus.
