Great! And for the taunts I have a few already made if you want them, and you can just add taunts instead of changing them. Among some of the ones I've made are "You shall not pass!", "What did you say?", and "Fly, you fools!".

I've also noticed a lot of mistakes with the hotkeys. I found most were with new units.

Right ok, I'm back on the grind - finally got my laptop fixed.

Anything I need to finish off terrain wise?

I noticed before some of them were not tiled properly, I can do this easily if needed.

I've also got some plants/shrubs and stuff I'll post up soon.

Matt, did you finish all of the trees?

All terrains are in, so go ahead with tweaking the borders and such. I'll push another version soon with more editor stuff.

Regarding taunts, that's an excellent idea! Please email any taunts you've constructed to Matt or myself. Thanks!

Anyone know how to make the history pictures?

And what about the civ symbols in the hud?

I know how to add images in the history section, they can be either drawn exclusively for TOME(there are artists at deviantart, that might be interested in that) or taken from google. Which do you prefer?

The history section pictures are compiled in two .slps in interfac.drs. I don't remember the numbers, but I know the one for Conquerors' civs is the 3rd if you start from the end (with Mod Pack Studio, it's in the 2nd table of interfac.drs).

I just checked the new edition and tbh most other terrains were fine. The only one I noticed which didn't tile very well was snow dirt.

I know you have a lot on your plate but I have a couple of requests regarding terrains (I need to double check the PDF though tbh):-

- I uploaded two snow grasses. Is it possible we could use the other one (not currently used) as snow grass and just use the current one for under trees only?

- the road terrains are a bit mixed up and I've no idea where the one came from. There is a Gondor road that I have we can use as the main one, rather than the current dessert dirt type one. I can also do a new mordor type road.

- I need a dirt terrain in there which I half finished, perhaps we could replace that with the mud terrain and just used the mud terrain as bases for some of the foresdts which currently use it? Of course once I've finished the dirt terrain.

"I rather like both horse archers, otherwise I would not hesitate to replace them. I thought of replacing the elven CA, just because it is the last aokish unit left, but I think that's a tad obsessive. We're at the point we've changed every graphic once, most twice, and a few three times. Gotta draw the line somewhere or we won't finish.The native men CA is shrunk a little in the current version, it looks a little nicer full size which it will be in the next version. That goes for several of my units."

I like the aokish CA's, actually. Not to discredit your skill, but the CA's in the beta (not the elvish ones, but I forget which civ), looked a bit odd

Tetsuo,
Agree with your terrain assessment on all points. The gondor road was missing from the dropbox, but you has shown it to me over Skype a while back so I just put it in myself. It will show up next version.

The mordor road looks to be a recoloured broken aok road, would much rather see what you can make.

The mud terrain is of limited use, certainly better replaced with a more basic dirt. We can keep the mud as a forest base as you suggested.

For terrain objects, bushes, rocks, etc, just upload whatever you have. I've gotten in the habit of just throwing stuff in the editor objects folder of the dropbox. By now it has all kinds of stuff in there for pulkit to sort through and see what he wants to add.

For forests, I've got this basically done:

Palm = hard forest
Pine = redone pine forest
Snow pine = redone snow pine forest.
Oak = old forest
Bamboo = dead forest
Jungle = Rivendell gardens
Forest= mallorn forest

There's the A-K editor trees that haven't been replaced, and besides we can add as many forests as editor objects as we want. Not to mention there is a tree slp in the drs file that was never used in game that can be replaced. So if you would like to do a couple forests or trees feel free, I am sure they will get used. You can never have enough trees or rocks to fool around with.

But I think I've designed something like 80 trees and probably half that many rocks, so I probably won't be contributing more on that front.

One last thing. I think it would be awesome if one of us designed a bubbling lava item, to appear randomly on the lava terrain like the cactus item does on dirt. Might just be able to recolour an aok splash.

Idea: What if in Great Years Easterling Great Wains and Haradrim Mumaks could train villagers? Pull up outside an enemy city, pop out villagers and troops, set up camp (build millitary buildings).

I'm seeing more villagers falling out of a giant elephant than could possibly ride on top. What am I supposed to think?
Either its the Trojan Mumak, or Mumak swallows villagers whole and proceeds to...well...lets not go there. Besides, no one else gets mobile training centers.

Run has mobile training already. They can either choose to train war hall units or muster hall units from their wagons, but not both. This is very powerful, but balanced in that they cannot train their strongest units this way, and they can only field 2 units on the run. Adding villagers or more training options would change this from a nice bonus to a game changing advantage, which would be near impossible to balance.

Hey Mr. Wednesday, you will don't continue to post images like the Harad or Rhun? Showing the things of an civ of the mod in the full version?

If yes, i'm waiting to see the Dol Guldur or Angmar... The orcs and trolls are amazing, and the castle of Dol Guldur too! So will be great see the progress of this civilizations.

If not, i will continue waiting for the day of release of full version.

And one more thing: It's possible to do an "demo" of the full version, showing one complete redone civilization of the mod? This is just an idea i have.

Waiting for an reply.

I should post some more screenies. Pulkit's added a lot of editor stuff that makes making screenshots more fun, so maybe I'll wait until I have access to some of that.

As for working on a demo, that would be taking time away from working on getting this done asap. I think everyone would much rather get the full version in their hands sooner.

Well, i will wait for the new screens. And now, i have just one more question: The full version will have the multiplayer working? I have a brasilian clan of Age of Empires/Age of Mythology and i want to add the ToME in the versions of AoE in the clan.

And maybe you can enter in the clan! But i not founded then yet, i expect for the opening in May, month of a possible finish of the work of the team members, right?

If you want to enter and wait the opening, i step my contact.(Email or Skype, and remember, my english is bad)

Hi everyone, it pleases me to see you guys are still goin strong. The new graphics are great, it blows me away how far you've come Matt. I am curious about the units, last time I was around, jorgito was pumping out a lot of new unit graphics and giving older ones a huge overhaul. How did you guys decide to implement them and are you guys still using older graphics like the aoe units?

Basically every unit is either made by me or jorgito, minus the villagers and the Elvish cavalry archer. Of the huge quantity of units jorgito made, the vast majority were used. We were lucky enough to between the two of us have more unit graphics than actual units in the game, so in a few cases we had to choose one unit over another, but most made it in.

I think we're both a little burnt out on this at the moment, but I wouldn't worry. We're very committed to finishing this. There's just less of a sense of rush, I guess.

Data editing is really inefficient and slow. You may not think it if you are only making a half dozen changes, but on this scale it is very time consuming. Adding graphics, tweaking all the parameters that go with them, etc,it is very time consuming and very dull work. Worse, we have basically one person doing it all. It just is going to take a while, guys.

Well, I've been a part of this forum for around a decade, so I think it's safe to say I'll probably be around in some capacity for as long as this site is around. Pulkit has been around forever too, and just because he isn't posting much here these days doesn't mean he's disappeared. He still answers my emails.

If it comes to it, I would finish the data editing myself, but Pulkit knows the data file better than I do and has been responsible for a lot of great gameplay inventions and techs, so I'd really rather he finish it off the way he envisions it. Besides he's earned a slow period. I've had a few myself.

So no worries.

Hmm, seems Imageshack went and made itself a subscription service while I wasn't paying attention. That sucks. I have countless ToME screens, bmps, and gifs on there. Would be preferable to have kept it all in one place.
