thought I'd try and make a new horse lord unit for the rohan unique unit. I'm using paint shop pro and I'm getting pretty good at colorizing and thanks to the new storyboard tool the process is really fast, here's a preview.

Now I have a problem, I didn't exactly write down my steps and I tried saving the pallet but the colors don't come out the same. does anyone know how I can apply the color changes to the rest of the storyboards without having to redo it and write down my steps? I am worried I won't get the same results because I really like how it turned out. I probably won't add a shield because it would have to be behind the unit however I do want to give it a new helmet and a cape.

Oh good, because it's just a gold cat. at the moment I kid, looks good, I really like the colours.

I advise you all to be a little patient, it might take a while before the mod gets uploaded, because there are issues with the download servers impeding bigger files to be uploaded.

If the issue doesn't get fixed soon, we will find an alternate way to deal with it.

well yes. Until the blacksmith problem gets solved (and I didn't get any positive responses to that effect just yet), you could upload only a readme or something like that, and post a link in the file description to another location.

Then, when the problem is solved you can update the file to include the mod itself.

Good old HG. They manage to somehow screw themselves out of anything good that ever falls their way. If I recall, Age of Chivalry was also hosted elsewhere, having been rejected at the blacksmith for being a duplicate file.

I'd rather not give people access to the dropbox, since it has concept art and development graphics and slp's etc. But uploading the file somewhere else seems the best thing to do. This is looking like one of those issues where Zen takes a couple months to even get to it.

My complaining is not directed at AOKH or blacksmith staff. Just Zen, the EXCO, and the morons who run HG.

Moddb is an excellent site to both upload and showcase this mod. It would also get a higher chance of receiving more attention, since Moddb honestly is quite more renowned on the internetz then HG at the moment.

Then there are the countless of other alternatives, like mediafire, FileFront etc.

Yeah, uploading to the Blacksmith didn't work, even though the size is within stated limit! But yeah, panel already warned us.

Hmm, could have sworn I already tested all this, but some bugs I found:

1. Elflord/cano has no dead unit ID.
2. Anchor wrong for axeman of lossenarch dead unit id.
3. Morthond Bowman dying animation frames not set correctly (possible I mislabled these and confused you)
4. Cavalry Archer dead unit ID is wrong for some civs, but okay for others?
5. Kings Emissary / Numenorean Sword Thain no dead unit ID (I forget which one)

Might as well get those fixed, I'll convert the civ hobbit over, and we can do one more mini update before releasing. Sound good?

Done in a matter of minutes. Thanks for spotting!

Regarding Moddb, I'm being a nice guy and adding unit sounds first. Only soldier sounds: human (for all men units), elvish (sindarin), orcs, uruks and dwarves (khuzdul partly). I've just finished doing that.

Feel free to do the Hobbit. I'll update the Moddb submission as soon as you're done.

could you people give siege towers a ungarrison move point like buildings have so that its easier to make the units transport across a wall easier
There seems no way, so far, to get that done. I've tried a lot. The only way to ungarrison is CTRL+Click on any of the units and hope some of them cross

With the Garrison Room upgrade, almost always ~7 of 14 garrisoned units cross the wall, so it's okay!

Congratulations! Great to see another total conversion project finished at last, well done to all involved! Although I must still take a look at this, the level of polish and detail seems exceptional!

So far it has left me speechless, it is so awesome .

Just one complaint however: The Mumakil fires only one arrow? And it can't close combat? Isn't that somewhat underpowered?

One archer shooting = one arrow, or so we thought. And realistically, perhaps, they might not be able to shoot right below them, hence the minimum range. What do you think?

Fair complaint, though. With more people playing such balance issues will be discovered easily and fixed in next updates.
