Carter, a and a.

And no one will flip out over nipple. First time I saw that on aokh. Maybe there's a special award or something. lol

As to the double roofs, I understand that gives it more of an Asian look, it just seems like a little too much.

Jortigo, great work! Great quality units!

Matt and Pulkit, sorry for asking here...but how do you guys convert the images of a 3D program made unit with blue colors, such as Jorgito's , to make all the blue parts player colors, without having to edit them pixel by pixel? Thanks in advance!

On my end of the conveyor belt, I have a batch script in Photoshop that converts all rich blue to player colour (PC) blue, useful when importing graphics from other mods/sources.

I render in red or purple and avoid the whole issue.

Am I the only person who thinks that the Mumak is just fine the way it is?

No.

Stop asking about the mumak the one i did long time ago will go to the graphic pack, i dont want to replace Matt's mumak.
I also have the most awesome concepts for Rivendell buildings, which will allow me to do them to everyone's satisfaction without making the flimsy weak buildings from the films. I'm actually really excited to try them out.

I'm planning to adopt Kor's model of slow but steady updates. I know I can't keep the current pace up, but I'll just work slower instead of quitting. At least until I feel the mod is done, which is still probably a little ways away.
This made my day i am really happy that you wanna do new stuffs again and also keep updating slowly the mod.

____________

The discussion between Matt and Carter conerning the roof shape also made my day hahahaha.
___________
So how is the impending release of AoE 2 HD going to affect this mod?
Idk! all i see from screenshots and videos is new animated water and new modded cliffs, the rest looks the same... and i am pretty sure the HD version will come super coded so we cant modify anything.

______________

Galadhrim elves:

Pulkit you have green light to convert the Noldor elves, and the Galadrhim. If i get more free time tomorrow i will repost the other sets again with the fixed animations and player colors.

So how is the impending release of AoE 2 HD going to affect this mod?
I'm not sure yet, we'll have to wait until the game comes out to see how radically they've altered the game files. Seems someone went and redid those cliffs (which were AoE cliffs zoomed in, lol) and finally did some real cliffs. The water and fire have been upgraded as well.

The real issue, which might be fascinating, is the game may no longer be in 256 colors. Imagine rendering and not having to convert. The water certainly looks full color.

We will have to see whether this is something ToME can easily be converted over to or not.

Lothlorien elves are great as always! Now make me a chariot !

Well obviously it will work on normal aok, that's what it's been built on. The question is if we can port it somehow to the HD version.

By the way guys, Seb said that you guys really didnt like my buildings, and that you were saying they were bad behind my back. If so, Im not mad or anything, I just want you to tell me that so I can improve them. If im not told I need to add more or do something differently, Ill keep going and waste time. So, If thats true, in the future please give me as much feedback as possible if you have the time. I want to make these as good as possible, no matter how much work.
I never said that at all. I said I'd rather tell you to your face that I didn't like your buildings and apologized for being blunt.

We're all here to help you and so on (me included), but this crap don't help.

Sometimes I feel like TomE has become more personnel management than modding.

Let's all just drop this one shall we? No point in doing the who said what game.

For Rhun, I'll post some thoughts when I get a chance.

I edited it out because matt asked me too and i didnt want to start something or ruin your rep. Jeez. Drop it. I have not and never have been angry with anyone on this forum.

Jatayu - I'm nearing completion of the civ restructuring.

Here's a bunch of game changes that you should know:

1. We have switched to the UserPatch. You can install and familiarize yourself with the new AI additions if you'd like.

2. I'm moving several trainable units and significant buildings with ids above 900 to other slots below 900, to avoid the AI corruption issues. I'll post a list of translations if you've already hard-coded those units.

3. Mercenary Warriors, Mercenary Archers and Orc Archers are now entirely independent, separate units. E.g., Orc Archers are no longer upgrades of Javelineers, and Balrogs are no longer upgrades of Bombard Cannons. () This should make AI coding straightforward.

I hope these help!

Hey that sounds great.

Are those changes in the dropbox?

So, userpatch is compulsory now? Or should I put the userpatch specific ai lines in conditional blocks to avoid crashing the game if played without UP?

Carter, the double roofs are still aesthetically way out of dimension. Try this:

1. No space between the top roof and the bottom one. That space in between is killing the model, it makes the roofs way too big. Have the second roof come straight out on top of the other one.

2. So the first roof looks like a pyramid with the point cut off, right? So top down view, you have a square within a square. Make the second roof come out halfway between those two squares. Slope the second roof the same angles as the first, and you will have what you are looking for.

That's what I did the other night, it looks way better. Not sure if that made any sense at all. I'll try posting a diagram when I get off work.

Jatayu, the file is not yet in the Dropbox. UserPatch is compulsory now, and will be packaged with the installer. Quite like Chivalry's latest version.

Edit: On second thought, if we want to include Steam Workshop as a platform for ToME as well, then the AI should be limited to the features of regular AoC up to the 1.0c patch, I think.

For AIs, you can use compatibility loading to support both 1.0c and 1.1 features simultaneously.
(load-random
+ "tome-ai\1.1\script" ;with the + prefix, always loaded for 1.1 or later
"tome-ai\1.0c\script" ;fallback for 1.0c
)
