About 5 years ago I took a course in Music Technology, where I used Logic Pro X to create instrumental songs. As I only played the drums, I usually used pre-recorded loops and recorded my own drums on top of them. I recently got myself a copy of logic and discovered my old music files. I've uploaded my first track onto Soundcloud which I made about 5 years ago. I intend to upload more stuff, both old and new in the coming weeks.

Check out my song and let me know what you think.

Hmm. I'd like to say something nice about it, but this style of music isn't really my taste, so I can't appreciate it properly. I will say that because of how different the first 40 seconds sounds to the rest of the song, combined with the fading in and out, it makes that part seem like it doesn't belong with everything that comes after it. Maybe that's just something that inevitably happens when you use pre-recorded music bits, but that's what caught my attention.

I appreciate that this is not everyone's style of music. I think the challenge with using pre-recorded loops is finding ways to fit them together that sounds right and fits the flow of the song. This was one of my first attempts 5 years ago.

I've just uploaded my second song which is a different style, more electoro. I also made this about 5 years ago, but I feel it is one of my better ones.

Good work mate, sounds like game trailer music.

Not into metal, but I really like the intro (first 25 seconds or so) of the first track. Second tracks sounds a lot like something you'd hear in an arcade game.

Poss, this is great, really enjoying this. My only critique is that it sounds like you're editing silence in, rather than hammering-on the strings at ~3:10 in Chaos.

Also, your name is, urm... distinctive... and it makes your RL social media presence visible. Just saying.

I've just done two more songs. One is an electronic ambient song called
Be Free which utilises some vocal loops and is quite random.

The second is called Beachside Sunrise and is made completely from scratch. I've been teaching myself the basics of piano and made this song using a basic four chord progression.
