As far as I'm concerned there is no way to distinguish the basegame or expansions from each other as they all share the same list of constants.

What would you need that for? Maybe there's another solution to handle that.

I noticed that Henk did a version check like this in RED:

if DLC_ACACIAFOREST
#define HD /* currently not possible to distinguish between expanions or basegame in HD. the script uses expansion units, causing the AOC version of HD to crash */
elseif ACACIA_FOREST
#define WK /* I haven't tested wether this works for WololoKingdoms FE, or WololoKingdomsAK versions aswell */
else
#define AOC /* allows to play on the basegame (AOK/AOC) without having the expansions. */
endif

For FE and AK, it might be more complicated.

I'm not sure if the check above still works,
since with the WololoKingdom 5.7.2 update the game will recognises the 'DLC_ACACIA_FOREST' even for WK, causing the labbel 'HD' to be valid instead of 'WK' even when playing WololoKingdoms.

The game-version check I use now is:

if DLC_MANGROVEFOREST
if UP_EXTENSION
#define WK
else
#define HD
endif
else
#define AOC
endif
