Today, July 6, 2015, is a momentous occasion in the world of competitive AoE2, marking the opening of the
There are two leagues at the moment - the Platinum League and the Gold League, each comprised of some of AoE2's top expert players. Here's some basic info from ZeroEmpires on how TEC is run:
Dear Community,More detailed info can be found on the official
Today marks the real beginning of the very first Empire Collective Cup! We have had many sign-ups and it’s been tough splitting all of them into the two leagues, Platinum and Gold. You can find the leagues on the home page of the website with the lists of players that have been accepted to play in the event. Remember, since this event will continue and run twice per year there’s plenty of opportunity for players to move up and down from the leagues through the promotion and relegation system! We hope that we can add more leagues in the future to accommodate even more sign-ups.Players are not seeded absolutely within their leagues, since all players will face each-other.
The final confirmed prize-pool is $2500 with an additional $150 being up for grabs in the Prediction Competition.
Everything is set and ready to go on the 6th of July when Round 1 of the event will start, make sure you check this website regularly as we will be keeping the game schedule up to date, posting regular articles and features and much more!
Thanks to all of the people who sponsored this event to make it a reality, we couldn’t do it without you. Especially our sponsor SearchEngineRevs.com for supplying $1000 for the prizes.
Many thanks and kudos are owed to ZeroEmpires and the AoE2 pro community for making this happen. Revolutionary initiatives like these are part of what keeps the game exciting, fresh, and going strong after so many years!
