Don't know if it's the better place to say this but I think it's. I read the Civilizations info in the Game Info section, viewable on the Main Page. There're things missing considering the C patch adds:
*Free loom for Aztecs;
*Free town watch for Byzantines;
*Chinese start with -200 food instead of 150;
*Gothic infantry costs -25% only from Feudal Age;
*Japanese infantry attacks 25% faster only from Feudal Age;
*Korean shinkinchon gives +1 range to onagers instead of 2, and villagers have +3 LOS instead of 2;
*Spanish bombard & hand cannons fire 15% faster.

Hope I forgot nothing. Errare humanum est but please, update this section to rightly inform people who read it. Thank you.

Goth infantry cost -35% starting from feudal age, not -25%.

Also, perfusion makes barracks work 100% faster, not 50%.

John Mendl is right, I looked at it with AGE, and unlike to the patch's words:

*Perfusion make the barracks working 100% faster instead of 50% (which is a lot for civ which already has such a bonus);
*Gothic infantry cost -35% from the feudal age instead of 25%.

Sorry again for this disturbance but ES and MG seem to have been neglecting when they released the patch. And thank you John Mendl for your remarks.

You still havent corrected goths -25% to -35%. I have also spotted another error: the mayan cost bonus of -10%/-20%/-30% affects only archers. It doesnot affect all archery range units.

Recently there was another interesting finding. Japanese infantry actually attack 33% faster, not 25%.

I saw something by editing the French article of the Conquerors on Wikipedia. It was said that the Korean wonder wasn't the Chinese Tower of Nanjing like we think, but the Hwangnyongsa (sorry for the name ), a Korean tower destructed by the Mongols. The resemblance is indeed striking.

Also, by doing some researches, it is said on Wikipedia too that the hugest yurt in History was the Orda Ger, palace of the Khans (maybe in Saraï, their capital).

I think then that the article about wonders can be updated.

I believe a discussion about the Korean wonder had already been taken elsewhere and the consensus was that the Korean wonder didn't have a perfect correlation with any historical tower. I'll try to find that discussion and confirm that. I'm sorry I didn't respond to you.

Here's the thread. Since it's in Korea, I think Hwangnyongsa would probably be a better choice. I'll put it on my to do list.

Hello all,

I have a question about training a self-created unit:

- How can i train a unit which i changed with Genied2(advanced)?

I changed El Cid(hero) for example into a so called 'Buffalo Rider'(mix of the iron boar and battering ram, i used El Cid as main unit because i don't use that unit a lot). Now i want to get this unit trainable in the Castle.

I already gived the 'Buffalo Rider' a free trainingslot (4 i though?) and as building i gived the ID of the Castl (ID of castle = 82).
But i still can not train this unit.
Any tips?

The Scenario Design and Modding forum is a great place to ask these sorts of modding questions in the future. You're more likely to get a quick answer there.

It looks like you have the correct values set. Genied2 is a simple and easy to use program, but it doesn't have as many options. I recommend you download AGE 2. Go to the section called Attributes. There should be a bunch of checkboxes in that section. Select the checkbox called Enabled. I believe that will solve your problem.

Excuse me for a very stupid question... Tell me where to put the folders from the archives of the scenarios or campaigns, or give me a link to the FAQ where it is explained by detail.
Because I put them right in the game folder, but sounds from the Sounds folder does not played during the game.

I'm not sure what the right place for this is, so I'm just posting here.

I was playing through the Genghis Khan campaign, and I noticed your walkthrough for Scenario 3 recommends throwing Cavaliers and Light Cavalry (along with the obligatory Mangudai) against the various Chinese players. This seems like a mistake to me, since -- at least when I play -- the Chinese have a real yen for Pikemen and Cavaliers, which will turn your Cavaliers and Light Cavalry into red stains. Wouldn't it be easier to just make Camels/Heavy Camels (paired with the obligatory Mangudai)?

Only the Jin (yellow player) uses cavalry or pikemen from my memory. I haven't read that article in a while, but perhaps these recommendations are for fighting the other three players.

Not true: only Sung use pikemen. Actually, here are the armies for this scenario:

Jin: Cavaliers + Chu ko nu + Monks + Galleons
Tanguts: Arbalests + Scout cavalries + Rams + Scorpions + Monks
Hsi Hsia: Light cavalries + Chu ko nu + Onagers + Trebuchets
Sung: Swordsmen + Pikemen + Scout cavalries + Arbalests + Skirmishers + Monks

What I use then is Mangudais and Heavy Camels, mandatory if you want to deal with Jin quickly.

And as a side note, since I mod the civilizations in my mod, I can tell you that the Jin are also supposed to train Hand cannoneers and a Bombard cannon in addition to all other units, since in my mod, the civ replacing the Chinese are able to train gunpowder units. Which mean that if you wish to add gunpowder units to the Chinese by editing their tech tree, you'll deal with the Jin far harder!

hi im very new on modding and i have a problem whit AGE 3 and FE expantion, when i edit the file empires2_x1_p1.dat from the folder games/forgotten empires/data nothing happens, and when i delete that file the game steal running, and when i edit the empires2_x1_p1.dat from the data folder from de aoe conqueros nothing happens neither, but when i delete that file the game dosent work, i trie this whit difernts units and buildings and nothing appens, i dont have problem editing FE HD editition can any one help me, and sorry for my bad english.

Hello , im new in this forum and new in modding and i have a problem. When i add an unit based on another unit ( I want to make an elephant mounted hand canoneer based on the elephant archer) , when im in the editor and place an elephant archer and a elephant HC , the 2 units are selected instead of only one. Also , the HC has no shooting sound. Can someone help me? thanks!

AOFE is mod from the Conqueror, so the game data is same with the conqueror. You should read all articles in the University. Btw if you want to open file from Mps, you can use 7-Zip.

I was considering writing a tutorial about creating unequal starting positions in random maps, since that's a question which comes up from time to time and there isn't a guide about this as far as I know.
My only worry is that people might misuse this information to create cheat maps for multiplayer.
