If anyone actually remembers, I began work on a strange little game called "Outposts" for AoK. I still have it. But a while back I decided not to release "Outposts," which was for only two players, and instead began work on "Ultimate Outposts," a far more intense version of the original. To help everyone understand the basic concept of "Outposts" and "Ultimate Outposts," allow me to explain. You begin the game with a Light Calvary unit and must race across the map and claim a certain number of Gaia outposts before your opponent (or opponents, in Ultimate) do. Sounds too easy and a little dull, no? That's where the Hunters come in. Vicious computer-controlled Calvary Archers (Heavy Calvary Archers and Paladins in Ultimate) that track you across the map while you attempt to capture enough outposts. Its quite a thrill to be trying to accomplish your goal with a small army in pursuit! Thus the other way to win: Be the last to survive! But there are some hidden goodies in Ultimate, such as "safe zones" and "Hunter traps." I'm posting it on the Blacksmith today, if anyone is interested. And up next: Outposts Extreme!!!!!!!!
