That's right. I feel proud of myself and they haven't even posted it yet. The scenario's title is Ananzi the Merchant. You can get a more detailed storyline in the description of the scenario when it is posted, but the basic summary is as follows... Ananzi is a Bothan. They have been slaves for generations; he is given a request for aid by a chief in a Bothan slave camp. The message is addressed to the King in the Kingdom of Enchantia. Ananzi must live, and deliver the message... or his people could forever be slaves.
I will enjoy all player reviews. Please download this and give a newbie a chance.

By the way, is there some selections process the angels go through once you submit a file? And if it is approved by them, how long will it take to post it? I guess i'm just bein impatient.

um, tradecart, about the Ananzi Scenario...i dont think i quite get the story line...are my allies supposed to be attacking me? when you get to the palisade wall and theres the two guards, are they supposed to follow after me and attack me? and at the elephant crossing, no matter what i do, the guard that i stay behind starts attacking me, and the towers behind the elephants start shooting me too...what am i supposed to do when i get killed every time? theres no other way to go!!
WAit for the "green light". And stay "in front" of him. what i meant by behind... was don't cross him. Just stay in front of the police dude like a good boy.

but the guys behind me are chasing me and trying to kill me!! am i supposed to use my villagers to kill them off? (the people chasing me are the two guards by the entrance to the palisade wall...are they supposed to be standing still? cause if they are, they actually arent, they start chasing me)
I just now tested it, it's working perfect for me. Are you attacking the guards at the palasade gates? Because i took Ananzi through and everything worked, no pursuit. and then i waited for green, and that worked too.

no, i just start walking through the gate, and they chase after me...ill play with the map and try to get it working...
Yeah i tested it further, everything's doing just fine. Just walk through those gates and up the path... and then don't pass the spearman at the elephant crossing. just wait for green.

I don't know what's up. I've done it 5 times now, and not a thing has gone wrong. i can understand a bad review at this point... you say the spearmen at the first exit you go out of attack you? They're not botherin me at all, unless i walk past the guard while the light is red...

Problem solved! player 2's personality was not put as "Immobile Units AI Gold", i think you need to put that in your Winzip for it to work, once i changed it, it was fine...just put a note in saying you need to download the Immobile Units AI Gold and change Player 2 to that or put it in your Winzip folder thing...whatever you choose...anyways, im off to play the whole scenario now!! so far it sounds good...lol!! "my mom can hoe better than you bums!!"
Thank you so much for your patience. In my note, i added a thank you to you, i can change it if you view it as an intrusion on privacy or whatever. I sincerely hope you enjoy it, and i forgot to tell you, it might be important to set player 4 and 6 to the immoble also... but that won't make as much difference as the Buchchas. Understand a bad review for inconvenience. I was wondering... do you have any scenario's published in the blacksmith yet?

thanx for the thanx it still for some reason srewed up, but i dont think its the maps fault, i may have corrupted one of the files, ill let you know...it worked fine once, then quit...and if i ever get it working to finish the scenario, i wouldnt give you a bad review because it looks good as far as ive gotten and anyways, i dont like giving people bad marks on anything...
i dont have any scenarios out yet, but im working on a couple (newbieish) maps, one called "4-man Blitz" and another called "The Treacherous Journey" they probably wont be out for a while though cause im lazy
anyways, im sure ill have lots of fun playing your scenarios, and even if i dont ever get it working, ill still have fun trying ta figure it out to make it work i just hope no one else has this problem
hey tradey, i might have found my problem, but i need your help...go to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\AI" and see if the "Immobile Units AI Gold" AI file (not the .per file) is more than 0 kb...cause if it is, then thats my problem...
.per is 2.3kb the ai is 0. but there's a text file called AI that is 8 bytes. I don't know if that info helps, thanks for puttin the time into this. this is all new for me.

It would be nice if we had a faster way to communicate. And i'd love to fix this... I swear i've played it through about 6 times now, and i'm not havin any probs. Sorry, i was really lookin forward to it. If you can't get it to work, just look around at the map design, see how you like that. Maybe you could browse the triggers, just to get the basic idea. It's a shame. I felt really good about this scenario, i expected some good reviews also.

i think my immobile units ai was corrupted somehow...ill download it again, see what happens...do you have msn messenger or ICQ? if not, what is your email? and its probably my comps fault that it isnt working, not the map...so most likely its not your fault...
Thanks so much, Warriah. I can't believe it messed up right outta the starting gates! Well, i hope you play through the remainder of scen. bug free. And now, without further adue, i can officially say i have published my first scenario! *clap*clap*clap*clap*clap*

Review scenario – Ananzi the merchant – Age of Empires II
Comments: -At the traffic guard: -The guards movement is screwed, the horsemen pass the elephants and the elephants move out of line. I suggest you delete the horsmen. -The Red Light warning is too late, often you pass the flag before you read the message.
-Story: -Isn’t it odd to let Ananzi leave the camp without any guards? -Isn’t it odd that the Elves let Ananzi take their general with him?
-Look: -The guards on the flying carpets look rather fake, and the searocks in the cliffs are weird as well -The mud paths in the waterfall don’t look very good. -The area to bring the the Elf general to is marked with some 9-bands and a shop full of carpets, there must be a nicer way to mark that place. -I bet you can make a better guard station than that set of towers. (with the elephants) -I’d like to see someone come out and speak to me when messages are displayed, often there is no one at all. -I want more animals, and more elevation!!! Also, the forest you have to move around by Al-thinghy is very square.
-Gameplay: -At the Roaders fort thinghy, the text sais go through the gate with the companions, so I tried to go through that big stone gate, and it didn’t work. So I started to attack it, only then it came to my mind that you might mean the little pallisade thingy which looks rather useless, the instructions are very unclear here. -The “Warn” trigger should be set to: starting state off, because now it appears at the start of the game, thereby making it impossible to read the instructions telling you to bring the 2 women. -When the text appears that says something like there’s a big waterfall coming, I looked around and didnt see any fall, so I turned my ship and went to that tower, seeing a waterfall, making me going the wrong way. So either delay those instructions or clearly state that the waterfall is ahead. -Overall there are few to zero clues on where to go or where to find something. Those “friends” of salomoh for example, I had no idea where to look for them. Although it is great fun making someone search for it for a while, I only found out where they were after looking at the scenario in the editor. (I even tried to kill all he wolves without them, which almost worked lol) -What the hell are those camels, rams and the lone soldier doing in the wood near Al-thinghy??? I thought they were my reinforcements but there was no way to get to them lol. -Some of the messages disappear a bit too fast. -When you get attacked by the red people near Al-thinghy, you can’t fight back!?!?!
-Tip: -In the tips section of the instructions you might add: Save often, you’ll know why lol.
Now for the overview:
A very entertaining scenario in which you even have to be brave at times, chosing between two evils, I love that! The pathfinding was by far the hardest job, maybe you could add a bit more clues on where to go. Also, it might be fun to design some side quests to get you back on track when you took the wrong way. Conclusion: good job!

Mr. Tradecart, there was one thing i forgot to mention in my review and i should have maybe marked you a bit lower (), with the pathfinding, i think its the third decision (i wont give anything away, but if you go the one way, you get plagued with something ending in "x", just so you know which one im talking about) i think all the skeletons are just a little hint as to which way to go...
Since you are a reviewer, I was wondering if you could check out my scenario,"The Great Commander El Cid." I don't know when it will actually be posted, but I think you will like it.
