I am sorry if I accidently offended people with my "I am not new and don't need help thread". The idea that I was trying to convey was that instead of spamming the forums, people should try their hardest to find the info before doing so. Maybe they're lazy, maybe they didn't know.
:Luke: n00b is not pronounced "Inexprienced designer"; it is pronounced "Show-off Inexprienced designer".

P.S. If you close my thread, can the moderator responsible post the ending message instead leaving me wondering?
P.P.S If you are inexprienced and want to ask a question, please don't have a title that starts out with "Hi!"

I get your point, Omega. It bothers me just as much as you do, but your reaction was out of line. And about the closing thing - it wasn't me. You'll have to put a formal complaint in BNC's lap.

In my opinion, the solution to your problem is not that the new people stop posted, but rather that they post without the show-off attitude. I for one don't object to a person new to scenario designing asking me a question, as long as he doesnt come in with an air superiority.

That is only a partial solution. They must also refrain from posting multiple topics with the same question, for example. If they still do, it's up to the moderators to get rid of the "copies", in order to prevent cluttering of the forum. But that seems to be a problem around here.

Another thing that disturbs me is how they suck up to you by calling themselves "newbie" and calling us "experts". It's so sad. I mean, it's not like we would give you help unless you establish some sort of caste system.

I'm afraid there's little we can do about that. We can only solve it if we are dealing with frequent visitors...

Luke doesnt have moderator powers, much as he might want so. A formal complaint? I'd give a formal ban . C'mon Omega 8 you've been here a long time.. common sense would tell you that was spamming.

I agree with you on the matter of multiple posts, omega. Something should be done about it. As for sucking up to us, i haven't really noticed that. Of course, i haven't been around AOKH that long, so i am a bit shallow in that area. Anyways, the way i see it, they probably call themselves newbies and you experts because either they are sucking up like you say, or they are intimidated and try to cover themselves by titling themselves/us.

Instead of worrying about me and my aspirations, start worrying about the forum instead.
Droch: I agree.

I think you guys need to tighten up and quit whining about new people. The only way you could stop new people from doing things you don't like is to go into their heads and take over. A new guy might come to SD right now and post a thread without ever reading your threads, and without ever reading the welcome thread. People come here to ask qustions and get answers, not to get put down by know-it-all regulars.
If you don't like to read newbie threads, don't read them. You can't control what they post, but you can control what you read.
