That is very complicated...
It is very restricting, I have only been able to use it at the very end of scenarios, and here's why.
This is quite an unknown trick, partly because I havne't publicized it too much, I have it in my project, and just about every other trick has been figured out and used, I've taken so long... The trick involves researching spies. I noticed the trick once, when I made a scenario that researched spies at the beginning (though it was dark age) and watched my enemy build up. The first thing I noticed was when he built his first house. When the AI places a foundation and you have spies, it shows up as just a blank, revealed tile(s) The house was four tiles, and at first I didn't know what it was, untill the villager started pounding there and immediaetly a foundation underconstruction showed up. Ah HA!!! It's a foundation... After sitting around for a while and contemplating this, I thought of that screenshot you see, whith the "light shadows" outside the windows of the university. But (duhhhh) when I research spies, I see the university as well. So, I ended up creating and removing map revealers over the university, and when the university was back under fog of war, I removed it. If a building is removed under the fog of war, it still looks like it's there untill you see it again... Then, you can research spies ( the university still looks like it's there) and create an enemy foundation, in this case an outpost. The one square will reveal itself, and you are set! This, of course is very detrimental to your game. I have only managed to use it at the end of scenarios, like I said.
It does create an awesome effect, right before the player is victorious, and the player ends the game with a perplexed look on his face... You know, the hero and his damsel go into their mansion, and the lights are on. They turn out one light, and then the next one. And they live happily ever after. It's a great trick to end scenarios!
Hope this helps,
