I'll explain a little bit more if that didn't make sense. You see, I'm doing a Lord of the Rings Campaign, and unfortunately, everytime I put a bmp file as a background for the instructions screen on a scenario, the whole screen will flash, and the picture wont even show up right.
Does anyone know if there is some way to edit the file so it works? Or is there some sort of way to stop this??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The picture needs to be EXACTLY the right size. open the Age of Kings directory and find "scenariobkg". that is the size you want.

What??? That sux, is there no other way? That means that I have to dump all of the pictures that I've collected. There's gotta be a way to edit them...

You can only use 256 colors and 548x288 pixels. In your paint program change the size and you have to 256 colors and use that .(you can't do that with Microsoft " paint" though) magna gb answered that question quite well when you posted it in the "Mod forum".
