After a unit dies, how can you get the dead body to stay there without decaying?

Hmm, this is a difficult scenario. I don't think it's completly flawlessly possible. My best method would not even come close to perfect... Perhaps there's some cool trigger trick like the one that makes the unit have 0/XX hp? Hope there is. *sigh* I don't do enough experimenting in the editor...

That trick is the known 0-HP trick, but I don't think that is what Daveguy is asking.
I think Phil found a solution.

@ Daveguy_700 1/You could constantly create and kill a unit of the same type over the area. 2/Or You could put a dead unit (gotten from the Dead Units Template)in the place, and cover him up with flowers and rubble, and then remove cover when you need him to be revealed.

Or you could just make a mod. Well with triggers, like whitewolf said, put loop on, create unit, whatever unit you want on dead, and then put kill unit in the area you want it dead. It wouldn't really look right every second the unit dying, I think I know how to do it but I'm bad at explaining these type of trigger stuff.

No point in making a mod. You can do it with trigers, I can't remember how though..

Effect: Create Object - Any unit Effect: Kill Object - Place where the guys body is
Well I'm not sure if it'll work because I don't do alot of Scenario Editing testing.

No, that won't work, the unit will be killed every 60 seconds then decay, it's a lot simpler to use a template.
Quoted from Philip Dunscombe:
I tested it extensively now Luke it will drop dead and stay as long as you want. I am putting these new tricks I have discovered in Neat Trick's II which will be released soon after Neat Trick's I. I will tell everyone when it shows up in the BS.
Edit: I went back and checket the archives, and apparently DM was right.

do this
Trigger 0n, no loop
Condition: Desired unit dies
Effect: Create unit, player Gaia, categoryther, type:skeleton
its not exactly a body, but the skeleton will stay there

Meji, I'm starting to agree with Kestrel on this one...
And Rage, that won't work, because every 60 seconds it'll show the death animation
