Topic Subject:Problem with editor on the Mac (- tribute)

The editor in the macintosh version is relatively buggy. One of the many problems is I can't seem to mark and copy/paste text. An essential part of the scenario I'm designing is to buy things, but since I can't copy/paste a - sign, I can't figure out how to get the players to pay for their stuff. It seems there is also no "magic number" to do this with like the -hp trick.
Any ideas for a workaround here?

Umm, I'm not quite sure about this (I've never played AOK/C on a Mac) but try this:
1. Type a "-" sign into a trigger name,dialogue,ect.
2. Highlight it.
3. Click and hold either mouse button (they do the same thing).
4. If a menu comes up select copy. If not then try the magic number.*
5. Go to the tribute effect and using the same method, paste the "-" in.
Don't Look at or select that effect again, as it will reset itself.
*The magic number is 65535. Try subtracting the amount that you want to -tribute from that number to and put that number into the box. Now you can look at the effect again.
So: 65535 - X = what you put in box. X = amout you want subtracted.

I presume that Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V wouldn't work on a Mac either, due to them being Windows combinations...

Yeah sure they would work,(in Mac it's Command-C and Command-v) if you could highlight in the game. Most keyboard shortcuts are the same on Mac, just with the Command key instead of the Control key.
