Practical Puzzle
They've been done before; the only one I played was Mission Impossible 2. It was rather poorly done triggerwise, but the puzzles were amazing. They used AoK's unit AIs to the full, involving puzzles with sheep, siege onagers ripping down trees, things being built in places to reveal gaia units, etc.
I was facinated by this, and I've been thinking of making something like it myself, only with more thought out gameplay as opposed to random puzzles thrown out on a map. If anyone else is interested, it might make a good final projcet, and I would be trying something new. Actually, I tried a lot of different styles of gameplay in scenarios, but they all fialed to to piss-poor planning.
Any opinions?

That sounds like a very interesting idea indeed. I am looking forward to seeing that project completed.

About this Mission Imposible scenario; where did you find it? Sounds interesting.

It's in the scenarios of the Blackmith, search it.

Puzzle is a genre that is rare in the Blacksmith. I wish there were more than just the standard story-line scenarios. Unfortunately, these scenarios get bad reviews because of the review tutorial's linear way of thinking.
In other words, yes, good idea. Wait... IIRC, didn't you start a project like this a long time ago?

I've played MI But I did badly at it and didnt get past the first section. If a puzzle is made correctly then you can make fantasic puzzles which draw you in. I had the idea of a dungeons & dragon style scn but back then i never really new the editor as well as i did now and it didnt get very far, I'll probably start up again. I thank you thread for reminding me of other types of scn's
There's a walkthrough somewhere for MI, can't remember where. Read the hints section, it may tell you.
Anyway, all I remember about the first part is: land the boat, get out, get the sheep, send it between the towers and get the siege onager, and clear a path that lets you walk by the cliffs. I've never managed to kill the light cavalry past there.

I'm not sure if the author intended this... but the way that I got past the light cavalry is by avoiding him. Use the SO to destroy the trees on the (blocking), making it walkable. Walk up it and attack the LC with the SO. It will attack the SO; while it's doing that, kill it with the arblest.
