Holy Cats!Does anyone else notice something fishy here? Perhaps I'm having a case of deja-vu. Allow me to explain:Quoted from Highlander_FFS:
I recently began creating a "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" campaign. I expect it to be around five scenarios long, maybe six. I've all ready completed the prologue, which sees Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli tracking down the orcs and and run into Eomir and find the orc carcusses burning.
But, I've reached a bit of a stall. I'm working on my first scenario, which is to follow Frodo, Sam untill they meet gollum and face off with orcs but I need ideas on how to spice this scenario up a bit. In the books, all they do is travel through the wastelands under the threat of Nazgul, until Frodo gets captured by Faramir. I intend on recreating this, but I think the scenario needs more spice and more encounters with enemies. I've also considered adding "bandits" or orc patroll, but that wouldn't follow the book if they simply fight. (Remember, they are hobbits ant they never realy fought orcs in this book).
Any ideas from people knowledgable of Tolkien's books or Jackson's movies would be much appreciated.
Surely, you've already read that, so you're thinking, what has Helmet_Olsonm2 been smoking? Or perhaps you're wondering why don't I just get a life and stop looking for mysteries in AOKH when I don't know what I'm talking about, right? Well, let me prove you nay-sayers wrong:Quoted from Helmet_Olsonm2 (me) from my Fellowship of the Ring Campaign Ideas thread):
I recently began creating a "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" campaign. I expect it to be around four scenarios long, maybe five. I've all ready completed the first scenario, which sees Frodo and Sam flee Hobbiton and follows their adventure to Bree.
But, I've reached a bit of a roadblock. I'm working on my second scenario, which is to follow Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippen and Strider (Aragorn) from Bree to Rivendell, but I need ideas on how to spruce this scenario up. In the books (or the movies), all they do is travel through the wild under the threat of Black Riders, until Frodo gets stabbed on Weathertop. I intend on recreating this sequence, but I think the scenario needs more gusto and a little more encounters with enemies. A Black Rider chase from Weathertop to Rivendell would be fun, and that's a possibility; I've also considered adding "bandits" along the road, but that wouldn't follow the book.
Any ideas from people knowledgable of Tolkien's books or Peter Jackson's movies would be much appreciated.
Weird, huh? Even the Thread titles are parallel. I believe a just explanation is due, Mr. Highlander_FFS.
