Ok i have no idea what your talking about.. But this might help:
When you ask them, which defence would you like,
give them a chooser unit, and "buildings, or rugs" which represent the defence type, and when the unit touches the building or rug, it'll give them the defence they have chosen, ok something like this:
Create a -Condition- Loop Off
Condition: Bring objects to Area(Set the object- the unit that will choose the defence type)
Choose Area- Click the building which will represent the defence type
(name your buildings, Defence 1, Defence 2, Defence 3 to show what they are choosing)
Effect: (what happens after they chose the defence type)
