Has anyone played my game (Flashkan's Srory part one) yet? I haven't gotten any comments or reviews.

At the top of the page, click on "my account". Insert your password, then click "edit signature". When you have changed your sig the way you want it, click "save changes"
This question is one for the general & strategy board, I think

Wow, very informative posts , whats your scenario about?
A forest town's sacred relic is stolen, and a young man named Flashkan sets off to take it back. . .
Don't play it though, it really sucks. I have lots of work to do. . .

Wow. You're really convincing me to play your game. Weren't you pretty much asking people to play your game?

That was before his scenario got a crushing review...
"Especially awe-inspiring is the fact that any single brain is made up of atoms that were forged in the hearts of countless stars billions of years ago... These atoms now form a conglomerate – your brain – that can not only ponder the very stars that gave it birth but can also think about its own ability to think and wonder about its own ability to wonder. With the arrival of humans…the universe has suddenly become conscious of itself. This, truly, is the greatest mystery of all." - Rama

One of the main keys to making your scenario somewhat appealing to play is to have at least some semblance of professionalism. Just by reading your posts, I can see that you can't even spell the name of your scenario correctly (Srory)... With an attitude like that, you're going to have a very hard time convincing many people (like me) to even consider downloading your scenario, let alone play it.
Especially considering the average quality of the files submitted to the Blacksmith nowadays, not to point fingers at anyone.

You don't know. It could be a jab at the designers who submit the stuff, it could be a jab at me for not trying to make the Blacksmith a better place, or it might be a jab at Tanneur for not enforcing some sort of quality control. You just don't know, and that's the beauty of it.

-zyxomma100- I think I agree with you Zyx, but to some extent. I hate downloading some random game off the Blacksmith with a flashy name, only to see that it is the worst made game ever! It is really annoying and dissapointing to know that there is so few good designers out there. But then I must keep in mind that this is a brilliant forum where the scenario designer has the ability to upload whatever pathetic game they wish, and I love this site for that. Its like free speech. If no designer is able to upload whatever map they have created (Providing it does not breach the CoC), then this site would be so much more less.
And to you Tanneur, you do a brilliant job in running this website. Well done!!!

To tell the truth, i am just a starter in designing. I have already submitted my first not brilliant blood map at the blacksmith. So basically i need to learn by the day. But it seems to be hard because many things are quite hard to perform, as triggers have their lack too.
Mainly, people also give some sceenies to provide people with the insight of the scenario or campaign. This means that the Topic poster will attach links to the sceenies he or she have made. By doing this, the playtesters or people who get randomly at this site can see something of the projects that have been start over here. And in case they like it, they will give some suggestions to make the project, as what it is called, more appealing for guests or members
Well, i haven't played your campaign scenario yet so i have not any comment at what will be good or bad. So maybe you could do this in your Topic: Placing some information of the campaign, like story (most important), features that it has. Thing like that, then when you do so, they will give comment on the new looking Topic (sometimes).
(_(_(_ World of Warcraft _)_)_) (_(_(_(_(_( = [|]Level: 85 Pierce [|] = )_)_)_)_)_) (_(_(_(_(_(_(_(_( = [|] Class: Warrior[|] = )_)_)_)_)_)_)_)_) (_(_(_(_(_(_(_(_( = [|]Race: Human [|] = )_)_)_)_)_)_)_)_) (_(_(_( = WizardBoy: | Proud member of AOK = Click to add population = )_)_)_)
I played your campaign on the hard level and enjoyed it the enemies are strong and gave a good fight. The story is good; I liked the twist in game, quite a surprise.
Map design, take a random map as a start for your next scenario, then add things, and change it beyond recognition. The best designer of AoK used random maps for some of his scenarios to start. If you use the standard AI from the Conquerors Expansion and design a water map, a random map is necessary, as the computer players will not build harbors on a map from scratch
Quoted from zyxomma100:
...or it might be a jab at Tanneur for not enforcing some sort of quality control
We had a discussion lately about unfinished scenarios and/or low quality scenarios, demos, teasers and I am aware of the problem. Especially because AoKH has many downloads that it gets difficult for our visitors to find decent scenarios.
Personally I agree with Mashek331 (btw thanks for the compliment) and would not go that far that we should not allow to upload those files to our site. The question is also where to draw the line, which quality to approve and which to disapprove. Primarily the designer wants some feedback, what to do better, to know where he failed and where he did okay. A solution would be to allow them for a limited time, until the designer updates or to have a special section at the blacksmith for demos and unfinished scenarios, which removes when he uploads his finished scenario to the main section.
