Most likely a terrain error, try starting the game, and right at start, go to the options and click restart... keep repeating that, if after 1, or more restarts it crashes, then its a terrain error... Usually the cause of it is shallows... or extravegently mixed terrain.
How to fix it is... take out patches of the land and test with each patch missing.(Reminding you to NEVER save) once you find the patch that is causing the error, use the process of elimination to find the trouble spot... once you find it re-open your map, with all terrain intact, and remove the problem... Then just replace it with something new or similar. nI, im surprised you didnt reference the Scenario Design Thread.
