Does anyone know how to get the official random map scripts like black forest and highland? or is it impossible?

Someone might be able to point you out to a way to directly extract them, but I know that AoK Modpack Studio has the ability to view most of the RMS material.

Can't you just open the .drs file in notepad and see them there? Correct me, if I'm wrong.

No, because the random mpa scripts provided with the game are hidden. The ensemble studios things aren't hidden.

Such as it was pointed out, in the previous topic (RMS maps),

- The official RMS maps are stored
* in "gamedata.drs" file, for Age of Kings game
* in "gamedata_x1,drs" file, for The Conquerors expansion

- Both files are stored in the "DATA" sub-folder of the game.

- RMS map scripts are text files. So you can read them with a Text editor (Notepad, Wordpad,...)
Just open the "gamedata" files with your favourite text editor.

- If you want to extract them, you can make it:
* with your Text editor (copying/pasting them in new documents),
and saving them as "whatever_name_you_want.rms", in the "RANDOM" subfolder of the game.

* with an Hexadecimal editor, (read here the address and length of each RMS file).

* with a DRS builder program, like "DRS Explorer 1.1"

* and possibly with the AOK Modpack Studio, as mentioned above, by zyxomma100.

Yes he is and yes you did

If you read the thread that iberico posted this was discussed in full there. Also iberico has the start of a tutorial on how to use drsexplorer.
