I'm in the process of creating a single-scenario utility to explain how to freeze units into statues by not setting a location in a looping tasking trigger. I'd guess anyone who has a good amount of experience wouldn't bother with this, but would it at least be helpful for newbs, or should I drop the project?

Hi Fenrisulfr,
The effect you're talking about is somewhat well-known, but AFAIK there is not utility for it. Some might argue that the idea is too small, but you're always welcome to make your own utilities. But you may want to consider writing an article for this effect instead. Methods such as these usually do better as an article rather than a scenario, since it can easily be explained in about one minute. If you do decide to write an article instead, you may want to submit it to the Tsuniversity. But really it's up to you, you can make a utility or an article. No one will stop you.
And as some advice, try finding a few new do-hickies that can be achieved using this freezing method to show off. This might draw more people in. Good luck!
I would've just used an AI to freeze units, unless of course you're talking about units with a particular pose in their legs or something, to give the impression of a frozen statue?
I would like to see another utility that has many tricks featured in it though.

Truth be told, I was really reaching to figure out how I could lengthen the scenario, or add more depth to it, because it isn't a very difficult concept...

I know nothing about making ai files
Well, I think I'll just stop, then. Maybe I could write an article or something. Eventually. Ah well, I'll figure something else out.:P

so the effect is the same as the immobile units ai, except you can freeze selected units instead of the whole player?

No, it's more effective than Immobile Units. It freezes the unit completley, so it can't move at all. Loop task with no location.
no its not like a AI as the AI will have a more naturale feel to it as the unit wont be froozen like a pop sicel. aslo if atacked the Ai will retrun fire or move away from the atacker wile the trigger will make the unit just stay froozen like a pop sicel
the trick freezes the unit completely, in one frame of the animation, ex. the knight's horse doesn't toss it's mane. It's frozen, like a photo, or as I was saying, a statue
