here is the Story so far
"Ornlu the Warrior was a reveered champion who lived his days in the fabled city of Remis, a city that sat peacefully on the foot-hills of a great mountain range, trade was good and the economy was booming.
One day a strange warrior band entered the city, an air of unease and anxiety following, their leader styled himself "The Black Prince" and claimed to be the best fighter that the realm had ever known. He took it upon himself to menace the merchants and holy men of the city, his men ransacked market squares and places of worship and, for a time, no-one would stop them.
Ornlu grew restless and challenged their leader, caring too much about the city that made him who he was. In broad daylight he challenged The Black Prince, calling it cowardice to strike the city's holiest places, but the only response he got was a threat,
"Ornlu the Warrior they call you. Well it seems that you are not wise enough to see that I am a man powerful beyond your imagination. Your holy places are like a vermin's fleas to me. I swear to you, cross me and the retribution shall cost the entire city."
Regardless Ornlu persued, caring only for Remis, it's people and it's cultures. The battle was mighty, Ornlu the Warrior against The Black Prince, steel hit steel and thunder sounded through the sky. Hours passed and The Black Prince showed no signs of fatigue, his bulging arms rippling with ease as he swung his heavy sword at Ornlu's body, yet Ornlu was a trained warrior and stood his ground. It seemed an age yet The Black Prince fought on, Ornlu tired, his swings became shorter and less frequent and his shield was dented and heavy and as he lifted it up to catch a blow he slipped on a rock, his head cracked upon the frozen ground and he felt the life ebb away from his human form.
The Black Prince stood over him, sweat dripping from his forehead, he bent down and whispered to him, "say good bye to your precious city," and with that eased his sword into Ornlu's ribs.
The next thing Ornlu felt was the moon rising.
His skin tingled, his ears pricked and his whiskers twitched. He did not understand, he should be dead. He stood up in panic, backing into the corner of the room he was in. What had happened he did not know, but he could see a hideous elderly woman sat in front of him.
She told him how she'd been performing a sacrifice to her gods, a live wolf was the ultimate gift she good give, but as she pulled her knife out of the wolf's ribs the cut healed itself. She had had a vision, seen an entire town ravaged by men in black uniform, one of whom had been wearing a crown, she'd seen a man fight valiantly against him, however the crowned fighter had been victorious. The unknown man's bones were gathered up and taken to a monastery close by. The woman seemed to think that it was important to retrieve them.
So bewildered and still unsure of who, or what he had become, Ornlu the Wolf set out to recover his former bones from his former city."
Baisically the senario starts with Ornlu "talking" to a Scythan Wild Woman next to a wooden yurt. She sends him towards a gaia village (which he takes over) and the aim of the game is to destroy the monastery but not let Ornlu die.
I was just wondering what people thought of the story so far. I was planning on the campaign to be slightly different, with each alternate senario taking on the perspective of either Ornlu or The Black Prince. An anti-hero story i guess, but you're not sure who's the anti-hero. Or it could make you think about how people's perspecives on the same situation can be totally different (crusaders in the holyland -esque)
Im not normally this involved in a game but i got a bit carried away on the old map editor lol.
(also if anyone could tell me if there was a way to create a champion with the name Ornlu the Warrior it would be great thanks).
