I read through all the basic FAQs, but they seem to be how to do tricks and such with them, but I lack the basic understanding of how they work.
This is what I am trying.
I am making a scenario called Sherwood, and dead center of my map I have some longbowman and a hero, Robin Hood.
I want, when someone finds him, a message to come up saying thus:
"You have found Robin Hood's secret hideout!
You now gain control of him and his Merry Men!"
Now I made an event that changes ownership of these guys when they are discovered, but I can't seem to do anything else.
I created Events, conditions and effects, but I can't link them to the Robin Hood event.
Please be patient, this is my first scenario, me and my sisters play often and I just want to add some cool effects and themes to our multiplayers.
I will get better with your help,
Thanks

Events? Wtf?
Uhh, anyway, the things you need to change in this case are the condition and the effect(s). Change condition into Object Sighted and select Robin Hood smth smth. Then Effect1 Display Instructions "You have found Robin Hood's secret hideout!
You now gain control of him and his Merry Men!" and effect2 Change Ownership select all units needed.
I ain't making any sense, am I. Maybe because I know triggers too much to explain it to such a basic level, no offense. Someone more helpful and not so lazy will prolley post the exact data you need. I think.

Alright!
I got it, thanks!
So if I understood correctly, the condition is made, then all the following effects apply to that condition?
And anything else I do will need another condition to define it, am I close?

Very simple. Now anyways lol.
It works liek a charm, in fact I added some other stuff after I figgured it out. I added a little more health and attack to make Robin Hood a key part of this map.
Thanks a lot for the help guys.
I may have some questions later, but I just needed the method explained.
Good Night,
