Alright, here is what's happening.
I have a map I'm designing and I am no longer able to play it in either single player or to test it. I can still edit it though. It started crashing instantly when I try to play it after I put in the devastation and duke ai's for some of the computers. Also, I have vista so I'm praying that that isn't the cause but all my other maps do work so I don't know why this one won't.
I played it once with the devastation ai but haven't been able to since then. I tried setting all computers back to standard but that didn't work.
Any help or am I going to have to scrap the map?

That happened to me a few weeks ago. I had this great scenario based on Hulagu Khan and the Mongols' invasion of Baghdad in 1258. It was bad-ass, and now it's just not working. I deleted all the triggers, and it still crashes instantly with 0 triggers.
Totally sucks.

Occasionally maps just get corrupted - I had this a couple years back with a scenario which stopped working after I did a little bit of terrain in one bit of it. Even getting rid of all the triggers and all the terrain, it kept crashing. Map-copying the terrain into another scenario meant it crashed too. Something in the file was just corrupted and unsalvageable.
However, that has only happened once to me. It's very rare. It's far more likely, as Andanu says, that this is a trigger problem.

good news, it was just the last set of triggers that I had put in, thanks for all your help, I was going to have a heart attack if it was corrupted
