Okay, first off it isn't mine. So I can say it is awesome.
My brother is designing this and he doesn't really ever come here, except he checks the blacksmith once and a while (I guess f=he actually works on his stuff, rather than wasting time here like me). He gave me this campaign to playtest and I was rather impressed. I figured I would take the liberty of getting a few more playtesters for him. Like 2 or 3.
WHAT IT IS:
It is called "The Fury of Rastulf", it is a fully playable RPG based on Norse mythology and written in a poetic, saga-like format. It comes with an edited DAT file so if that isn't your thing then you are warned. No modpacks.
Now onto the specifics. It is a two part campaign, which will be released all at once (I assume he will upload the final version here). This is the first part, I believe he is well at work on the second part.
It is fairly large, it will probably take you an hour to ninety minutes to play, maybe more I am not really sure. It has something like 500+ triggers, so it isn't thrown together.
KNOWN ISSUES:
THe file size is rather large, the zip will be somewhere around 10 MB, so if your email cuts of attachments of 10 or greater, I might have to make it a .rar file.
I encountered a weird bug when I tested it. The game runs fine, but it crashed when I went to save in-game. This happened 2 or three times, so I opened up the scenario in AOKTS and began debugging it. I thought I quickly had removed the problem, but then I checked the original crashing file and it worked perfectly. I have tried it repeatedly ad I can't get the bug to reappear. So hear is what I suggest:
AS SOON AS the campaign loads up, press menu and try to save. If it crashes at least you didn't sit through 10 minutes of cutscene. If it doesn't you are good to test. If it does, you can just quit if you aren't very persistent, or you can try to load it multiple times. I believe it was my 6th or 7th try when it went away, so it may take a while. I am hoping this bug was just on my machine and nobody else will encounter it.
All that said, I would just like to say this campaign is freakin cool. So it is worth it even if there is a bug you have to fight through.
As far as playtesters go, post that you are interested, and I will take 2-3 of you. I don't think I feel like handling more than that.
Thanks.
