1) Why did EB screw up my order and now I have to wait another 2 days for the game? =P (O.K., ignore this one)
2) Are the facts and actions for the AI scripts (*.per files) the same ones for the triggers; in other words, are they one and the same thing?
Hehe, I read through the entire ai doc already. I think it is "sufficient" to tweak the AI. (a little understatement) All those parenthesis make me nuasious though, they remind me of scheme or something. ~
But anyways, I didn't see much dealing with more "global" events/actions (like spawning units, destroying/removing specific buildings, setting resources, and "god" stuff like that) besides the couple cheating facts, that's why I'm asking if there are more rules that can be used for scenarios. I suppose a lot of the ai rules can be "bent" to do some of that stuff, but it would be nice if there were ones specifically designed for the tasks.

Hi Magnus,
I read the AI doc yesterday...seems to me there is a bit of overlap with the scenario design stuff....I think the object create... delete etc will be more the realm of the Scenario editor and the triggers...I am going to very much interested to see the interaction of the AI scripting with the trigger system and the effect it will have on scenarios.
I could mention the TZAR equivalents but you would already know about them .

Stick gamedata.drs into MS wordpad.exe to view C++ code on how the AI's actually go about their business. There are some interesting functions in there indeed...
There's also a terrain type declared as a constant and called "SNOW"... hmm.. Will try to get this working and update you with my findings...

Curses! Of the two types of "snow" constants the first is a tile road texture, and the other looks like grass spinkled with dirt. Still gotta make our own then.

I don't remember any snow. I had the beta, and there was ice but not snow.
