Well, if you have the designers approval it is ok.

Yeah, a lot of maps, specifically in the utilities section, say something like "feel free to use all/part of this so long as you credit me." Most scenarios and campaigns don't, however, so if it doesn't have that, you'd probably need the designer's permission.

In case the designer won't reply to me,i'll tell you what is going on: He/She is xix-xix,and the maps i'm interested to upload are chess maps. His map, which i'm interested at,is"Advanced chess".He/She uses a fantastic way of replacing queen, bishop, knight or rook with a pawn.Of course, the pawn should reach the 8th rank.I've borrowed this specific part and changed it slighty.Using triggers is not easy to use,and i cannot think of another way to make such effect.
So,....what do you think?Should i upload one of my maps to see it,or there is an obvious answer for the case?In case of having alternatives to this, share 'em to me,please.

Since you asked, "Is it legal?" then there is but one answer to your question. If the person in question does not reply the default response from them must be assumed a "No". A lack of a response can not be interpreted as an affirmation of surrendering legal rights.

Alright, thanks a lot guys.I've been thinking of it for long time. It's more possible to include this..."stolen" part to my maps, but,in case he/she wants me to change them,i'll upload my part of work.
DON"T FORGET!Keep informing me for anything relevent, and of course for alternative solutions.
