Ok well im a fairly new scenario creationist and also this is my first post, but im currently creating an rpg scenario (unrealistic to actual folklore) about Thor. im starting the campaign with thor watching his home village being destroyed, then travelling to new and bigger towns and cities, meeting new characters to join his party along the way. but im just really confused (being honest) about how to make my campaign feel more intense. for instance i played a scenaio called 'the last viking' which was exceptionally intense and really made me feel like i was in the game. im just after some advice from skilled scenario creationists to help me make my campaign better. just examples of things i could put in the game, like subplots and other factors to make it interesting. Also how would i make side-quests optional? i would like many side-quests in my scenario's but want them optional, and impacting the story without being a necesity (bad spelling).. for instance, if i had a side-quest that impacted the story how would i make it still end the same way without having to make seperate scenarios for each outcome?
OK i know im a noob and probably just anoying :S, but dont we all start out like me? im really intrigued at how creative people can be and i would like to become creative too.. i have a fair imagination but would like to improve.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post
And please help with how i could make a top campaign to upload to all of you guys to enjoy!.
