I've noticed that herdable units (cows, sheep, goats, turkeys) do not change ownership when tasked via triggers (either through task, attack move, or patrol effects).
Has this always been the case? Is there a work-around?
I remember tasking cows in my Of Cows & Kings scenario and it worked perfectly.

Looks like it works in the HD version as well, it may be something specific with your triggers.

It does not work. The units do not convert. If, however, I remove the Task effect, they do convert.

It looks like herdables won't convert if tasked with triggers - until they complete their move orders. At least when i tested it with your trigger setup. Without a tasked order they change under normal behavior, but with the task/patrol/attack move only did so if they were stopped before completing the task, or if they reached it.
When you're tasking them is it to a specific gather point like a pen, or are they simply wandering the map on set paths til found by a human player?

They're supposed to travel on set paths until found by the player. They're actually spawning with enemy units who travel with them like herders.
I could place a mill for the goats to travel to on their own but I was hoping to have more than one herding path (have the nomads and their herds spawning at different points and traveling to different parts of the map). Looks like that would only be doable with multiple players which is not feasible with my scenario setup.
