Hi! i am new to this forum. I hang around the other forums but would like to learn how to design scenarios I have a few questions that might seem obvious but i would like to know
Q) how do you plant triggers?
Q) is there a maximum number of triggers you can have?
Q) can you lock teams in a scenario?

I'll try to answer them. Someone tell me if I'm wrong.
1) There should be a button at the top that says triggers. 2) No. 3) No.

Actually you can lock teams..using triggers.. Trigger effect: change diplocacy: Player 1..ally with player 2 looping Trigger 2: effect change diplomacy: Palyer 2 ally with player 1 looping
Target player= the player who is the player is changeing the alliance. Example being the first trigger..player one being the Target Player
I think there is a max in trigs..either 999 or 9999 not like many people would create that many triggers.
you can make triggers by pushing the trigger buttun if that isn't enough..look for the trig tuturial in this site. Hope I helped you

If you are just starting to make scenarios, and have $20, I reccomend heading over to your local computer store and picking up a copy of Sybex's Age II: The Official Scenario Design Toolkit. It's a really good book.
If you don't wanna do that, or even if you do do that, check out the tutorials on this site.
Or, you can just play around like I did. :-) At least, I played around until I got the book.
Hope this helps.

First off, welcome to the scenario design forum.
About the trigger thingy, after you click the trigger button, select 'new trigger', or 'create' or something like that. Then create a condition that needs to be fulfilled to cause a reaction, or effect. Here's an example:
That's it. Of course they get a lot more complicated, but that is the main idea. A few other things you should know. When you start a new condition or effect, there is a pull-down menu that you choose a condition or effect from. These are the only ones you can use, but you can organize them to indirectly do other things, and make more complicated results.
