I lately have installed the original FE mod on my Laptop again; Windows 10. Everything works fine, but the resolution. On the screenshot you can see how it looks ingame. The menu that is usually on the top is neither visibile nor selectable, also the mini map and the Infobox for Units etc. is missing. Does anyone know how to solve this issues? I tried to Change the resolution settings, but there are no options given ...

On my AoFE2.2 from the main title screen there is many resolutions listed;this is empty for you?
Something i do with HD Edition is just to change the desktop resolution to what i want before loading the game.
Did you run "fixaofe.exe" in the main age2_x1 folder?
Quoted from Scripter:
Hi! This is usually caused by High DPI monitor settings. To fix it, right-click age2_x2.exe in the "Age of Empires II\age2_x1" folder, select Properties, and adjust the checkbox to disable high DPI for it. I can't remember the exact wording of the setting, but it's toward the bottom of the Compatibility tab.
The High DPI setting is automatically corrected by UserPatch v1.4, but AoFE v2.2 is built on UserPatch v1.2, which did not include the DPI fix. That's why it must be adjusted manually. Sorry for the trouble!
Maybe this?
"Excellent could be any map that has the quality of a ES random map or ES scenario. AoK is an excellent, award winning game. That's where I'd start." -AnastasiaKafka
"Hard work is evil. Bitmaps are stupid. Working on a scenario for more than one afternoon is stupid. Triggers are stupid. Testing your own scenario is stupid. The world is stupid. You are the Greatest." -Ingo Van Thiel
