In the contest winning scenario, I've been unable to find Friar Tuck. I'm currently setting the vills to chopping down mountains ... having killed off the other civs that had the two relics, all I need is for Tuck and his relic to surface. It has been frustrating.
On the good side, I've had a lot of fun with Berserks (yes, I've used my monks wisely and have spent most of the game over my population cap. BTW, Hardrede the Monk seems to have problems when asked to autoheal the wounded).

Search for him at south-east of the game starting point (right below of the map). In the first time, there is a wood and you canīt reach this point, but the trees will disappar now!

I was never able to find him there, so I settled for slaughtering the guys that nailed my forces the first go around. With the last of them dead (and there were not that many left), the game gave me a win.
I'll try it again -- who knows why he wouldn't appear.
Thanks for the advice though, I've got to do it again!

I'll try taking out the Saxons earlier so that I can get to Friar Tuck and get the artifact before I get the "you are victorious" message ...
Thanks.

One thing I found a little frustrating is that the map has a number of places where a unit can go in, but can't turn around and thus can not come out. I had several units get stuck during the course of the scenario. One I freed by chopping down trees, one had to be deleted, and one was useful.
Also would note that at least once a row of trees let a paladin through when he was counterattacking an archer, but once he was through, no other units could go through and the paladin couldn't come back out. I'm not sure how that "half a tile" worked, though it would make for a great puzzle in a scenario (I can see Charlemagne with his bodyguards, but he is targeted and counterattacks, pursuing an archer. He gets through the woods and suddenly the bodyguards can't follow and Charlemagne can't get back, so must now work his way through the quest unsupported).
