In designing a scenario, which of the two methods bellow do you use or do you think is best?

-first: lay out the WHOLE terrain
-second: place ALL units and buildings
-third: create ALL the triggers
-finish up

OR

-do the map by bit by bits, placing terrain, units, buildings and creating triggers at once, portion by portion of the map
-example: on your blank map you create a village and all the triggers that go with it, then the countryside around it, then a big city with its triggers... etc...

Tell me if I wasn't clear. I would like to know what you think is best and why.

Thanks

I dont understand your first question...

but with the second, i myself usually start concentrating on a certain area (the starting point), placing units, terrain, and triggers and then going on to another area... but, often, i also lay down the terrain for half the map then move my away around this area, placing units and triggers.

The advantages of such a method are that you design the scenario much as the player will play it... thus, you will place down units as they player will see them, and set up triggers as they would occur...

thanks
