Is the Three Kingdoms period (roughly 200 AD) beyond the acceptable range of the Chinese contest?

Well I suppose the downfall of the Tang (1000 or so?) and the Yaun (1350 or so) dynasties are a lot like the Three Kingdoms period... bandits and noblemen siezing control of their own little kingdoms, all while barbarians march across the borders... I suppose i'll use one of them... but which one? hmm...

The Ming is the best choice because it involves another civ (Mongols). But the Tang's a good choice too because it also involve another civ (Turks).
