I made a gigantic map for 4 vs. 4 battles. When I play it in Single Player, I can't ally with the AI. Could anyone tell me how to fix this?

Try setting the diplomacy before playing the scenario?

I set the Diplomacy settings when I made the map. I still can't ally. It works in multi. Just not in Single.

Have you locked the diplomacy? Because then you can't change it while in the game.

I have tried it with and without teams locked. I always set the teams when I begin the game.

Use trigger this way:
set diplomacy to enemy in scenario map. then make a trigger with "change diplomacy"effect set stance to ally and I think you know who will be your ally. it works on me dude.

These atoms now form a conglomerate – your brain – that can not only ponder the very stars that gave it birth but can also think about its own ability to think and wonder about its own ability to wonder. With the arrival of humans…the universe has suddenly become conscious of itself. This, truly, is the greatest mystery of all." - Rama

Try going to "Standard Game" in single player mode. look for the four boxes in the lower right-hand corner. Make sure the box that says "Lock Teams" is not checked off.
I had a problem when I played a Regicide game and then made a scenario by using random map in the scenario editor. When the map finished generating, I had a castle and a king, when you're supposed to just have a TC, scout, and 3 villies. I had to go back to Standard Game, and switch to Random map.

The box with lock teams in checked. It allows allies with AI in multiplayer games. But, not in single player games. Thanks, I will try using the triggers.

Firestar: Whoa.
I divide my officers into four classes; the clever, the lazy, the industrious, and the stupid. Those who are clever and industrious are fitted for the highest staff appointments. Use can be made of those who are stupid and lazy. The man who is clever and lazy however is for the very highest command; he has the temperament and nerves to deal with all situations. But whoever is stupid and industrious is a menace and must be removed immediately!
